I dont know about that. Assuming Toronto retains 50% in this "blow up" a 60 goal 2-way center for less than 6AAV with 2 years left would be an insanely big package. If Matthews were to give some clarity about how he feels about signing long term in LA the package would be this IMO.

Agreed!!! the only teams I see competing with LA for him in FA are the Rangers, and Tampa Bay.

Doubt rangers have the cap space at that point but yeah NYR will always be in the mix if cap space is there.

Not to many teams trade the best duo in the league. Baring injury, they both will finish in the top 5 in league scoring. They also are 2 of the best 2 way players in the league.
