Why do I kinda love this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>Whitecloud is very underrated and with that gem of a contract no way Vegas moves him.
My opinion on Joki is he is a defender that does nothing spectacular on the ice. He is decent in pretty much every facet of the game but not good at any one particular thing imo. He is a great 3rd pair RHD with some untapped offensive upside. We should hold on to him for the time being as our RHD pipeline is nonexistent. However, when our team really starts to come together and be more competitive, he would be one guy I'd look to move for an upgrade.</div></div>
Pretty much where I'm at with Joki, Whitecloud was the first person who came to mind as an upgrade but his contract is super super nice for Vegas so prob unlikely at this point

I agree with you, super manageable contract, I think Vegas needs more to give up Whitecloud
I'm just a huge Sabres and Zach Whitecloud fan

same reason I don't like TRADING for patty kane, if he wants to play here let him sign vs. hoping he resigns and potentially losing assets for nothing Vegas style

Back to Back
Sabres don't need Bjork, but might want to give Mittelstadt another look (I would) as he was super good his last 20 games of the 20-21 season and seemed poised to breakout before getting injured at the start of this year. Would likely take more than Compher, especially at this point in time.

Seriously are you that immature that you are going to start name calling cause you have your "rule of thumb" questioned?!</div></div>
you're talking about another poster my man, read extra carefully this time ;) I was wondering why you were getting all feisty with me for seemingly no reason, I was originally agreeing with you that the .1 million per point thing made no sense, then you just started spewing some tomfoolery

Cherry pick stats? Never mentioned any but lets look... Anderson and Tuch have literally played the same amount of games over the last 3 seasons at 147 each and Tuch obviously had more points but is no way gods gift to hockey nor did i say that.
No idea what you were referencing with Barzal, he's not a defensive forward or a defenseman... so shouldn't his stats/points count even more towards his value?
Overall you're a bum dude, not sure what else to say

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>You do realize that is a ridiculous way to gauge the value of a contract right?! Sure it works in some cases like the ones you described but look at Barzal are you saying he is overpaid at 7 mil cause he only scored 59 points? Tuch had 38 points last year and is paid 4.75 mil does that mean he is overpaid? Tavares has never been over 100 points so I guess he is extremely overpaid. Your rule of thumb is full of crap, other things go into a player's salary than just points.</div></div>
While this $.1M per point metric is totally untrue (think any defensman or defensive forward, goalies etc) but Tuch didn't play a full season and at 11 million Tavares is absolutely overpaid, as is Josh anderson

Mittelstadt Slander...
Now that that's out of the way this list is all over the place. Cale Fleury at 10? Lias Anderson at 14?
Nic Hague is an established NHLer and he's behind like 20 guys who aren't even close.
Feels like you moved some guys up like Swayman and Batherson and then kind of just clicked stuff to fill out the list

CapFriendly Community Mock Draft
Here's what I did, I threw the data from 25 CapFriendly MockDrafts that were uploaded in the past 2-3 days into an excel spreadsheet, there's 58 players on the sheet. I put each players ranking across the 25 mock drafts. Obviously, not all 58 players were ranked in the top 32 on each list so I took how many times a player was drafted into account and added a ranking of 40 to empty cells, not a perfect system but only players later into the draft were impacted by that. Funniest account name goes to DongLord23.
Wanted to do this to look at after draft and try and determine any biases fans have about prospects, maybe right a lil article or something.
If anyone wants to see the spreadsheet for fun or to see if ur on it lmk.

Think there's a good chance we can grab Chesley at 28 if we wanted, if not he's not a world-ender and there's other RHD like Casey who'll be similar, would rather take a swing on a guy like Nazar or Lambert at 16

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TuckerPoolman</b></div><div>id say he’s still in his prime and has been ppg his entire career. will have 2 years left at a steal of a cap hit. it will give a contending team 2 very series shots at winning the cup, I think that’s pretty valuable.
would have to start with Cozens and Vegas 22’ first for BUF or the jets will just keep him or trade elsewhere</div></div>
Trading Cozens would be a slap in the face to the chemistry Sabres have been building, his upside likely isn't Schiefele but he's a core member of the team itself

Not a Comtois doubter by any means, was sad to see him unable to take the step we expected this season.
You know what you have with Olofsson tho, pretty elite release/one timer and can immediately make an impact on your power play, he'd prob score a ton playing with Zegras.
As a sabres fan, I wouldn't want to go thru with the trade overall, Bryson could fit into a different trade and Olofsson could still reach 30 Goals without injury or hiccups
