Lol what do you mean Tuch needs a change of scenery? He’s just under a PPG and playing alongside Stone and finally looking like a complete player.

Pacioretty Haula Stone actually reminds me of that year 1 team line 2. But way better defensive minded with Stone, which is what killed them that year.
Pacioretty Haula Stone
Marchessault Glass Tuch
Stephenson Karlsson Smith
That 3rd line is great defensively and speed kills on that line. Second line with Glass and Tuch playmaking, Marchessault can almost become a sniper</div></div>
haula just hasn't been the same since that injury, i would rather chase a bigger piece. this is their year to go all in imo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vegasloveforthebills</b></div><div>Yeah it is.
I understand, and I kinda didn’t finish my thought with 3 guys off the roster. Apologies
It’s more of a offseason situation. Pulling 3 starters (even bottom line guys) off a first place team just make sense.
Also, if I’m spending money, I think I would rather upgrade the C position and move Stephenson to W. He’s been fine as 1C, but definitely not amazing. If you upgrade the C spot, you also upgrade the W spot by moving him there.
Also I think Nosek could be dealt before Reaves or Carrier, just because he’s a pending UFA and they have been fine without him the past 2 weeks. (But in the offseason I personally would move on from all 3 of these guys).</div></div>
i don't think there's many impact C's available, which is kinda challenging. i feel like Stephenson is better at C too
the veteran depth would def be murdered by this though, injuries would destroy the team and we would have to pray that the rookies are ready haha - so i agree there

And I understand what you are saying about driving play, but I don’t trust it because when I watch Buffalo, something is just off. There are a lot of games where he is just there. (I do think part of it is the team has quit on Krueger, but he still is just invisible at times).
Not me, especially when you consider that you have to play Hague and Coghlan at least through the regular season. And they were definitely shaky when paired together the past 2 games.
It just screams VGK Year 1 Tomas Tatar to me.</div></div>

Every Teams Worst Contract
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vegasloveforthebills</b></div><div>Fluery is having a Vezina type season and only has a year left after this season. In a matter of 3 months it has gone from the worst to being fine.
Lehner is probably “worse” then Fluery now and that’s only because Fluery is playing so well and he’s hurt.
If I had to label the worst contract on the team, it would probably be either Reaves or Carrier because Kolessar at league minimum is a better value as 4W.</div></div>
I agree with the sentiment but technically Petro has been the worst production per dollar this year. I'm not saying he has been bad but he will even admit that he he hasn't been 8M good.

True, that is one way to look at it. Tbh it puts a chip on both goalies shoulders. Vegas wants them to compete and I think they are getting exactly what they wanted. (Minus Lehners absence)

In all sincerity. Vegas would be a worse team this year if it was just a swap of MAF and Chandler for Malkin/DeSmith. Forget all the other stuff. Malkin only has one more point than Chandler and Flower has been playing better than DeSmith.

I don’t see Martinez wanting to end up on a rebuild team to end his career. That why I think he takes a little less cash for a little more term. Probably with a modified NTC like 8-12 teams</div></div>

Think something like Tuch instead of Marchessault, a second first rounder instead of the 3rd rounder and add a Korczak or Glass.

Tuch
2 A prospects (still counting Glass as a prospect here) plus
2 firsts and a second
If it’s a little high, it’s probably the second rounder coming off</div></div>
understandable, superstars are impossible to put together a fair package for tbh bc its hard to quantify just how much value they provide a team as true game breaking talents

I do think Martinez will be back next year. I see something like 2 million for 3 years. Maybe a year longer then it should be, but will keep the hit down.
They have 20 players signed for next year already, and have 4 million to spend. And that’s with both goalies again. So if they give Martinez 2, and a Krebs and Coghlan make the team they are under with 23 players on contract.</div></div>
I think $2M x 3 would be amazing. I just see Yzerman going after the hometown guy and offering more than that. Of course, as much as going home might be attractive to him, does he really want to end his career on a rebuilder? But I think it's really important that we try and keep him...he's been that steady force back there that has allowed Shea to open it up.
Now if Kolesar can keep building his game, that might generate questions about Reavo's future. I've always liked Reaves, it's just his $1.75M that I don't like. Man, is Keegan due though! Maybe his first NHL goal will come in Tahoe....let's hope.

I agree with you...I think it's Nosek. I wonder if Kelly is talking to teams about trading him as we speak or if they just put him on waivers. If he clears we save $1.05M and if he gets claimed we save $1.25M. Next year Krebs may take his spot. Thoughts on resigning Marty? Do you think he accepts less $$$ to stick around? We can't afford him at another $4M.

NJ Devils UFAs out NCAA prospects in
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>Ranta is the Avs best LW prospect so I don't think they'd be too keen on moving him. Maybe swap him for Beaucage instead and drop the 4th round pick.
Regarding the other trades, Tampa probably won't move Eamon Powell that cheaply. Yes he was a 4th round pick, but he easily could have gone in the 2nd round. His IQ and speed make him a great little prospect to have, kinda reminiscent of Ellis in Nashville. Once Powell builds muscle he's going to be a really good player.
Doubt Vegas want to part with their recent 1st round drafted prospect for Murray either. Keep in mind that not a single 1st round pick was traded last deadline for a pure rental.</div></div>
Ranta is good prospect, putting up some numbers, but I think I like Ambrosio a bit more. Ranta has a bit of Miles Wood (straight lines to the net). Powell is a ways off and its interesting that BC has had him at wing recently. Hard to project what he will become, but haven't seen Ellis in him yet.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>VijayPatel11</b></div><div>Ppl are overreacting too much to 1 bad game of McElhinney, he's fine</div></div>

In the real world, that makes total sense. But in this, fictional world where I trade a bunch of UFA's for my favorite college players...Preds are all in.
....And the guy every team should be going after is Campbell, who looks a lot like Johnny Gaudreau at similar age. <em>Eat your heart out, Alex Newhook. </em>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vegasloveforthebills</b></div><div>I think Murray to VGK makes a ton of sense. They now need LD more then RD, especially with McNabb out.
I see Vegas though trying a 2nd Round pick and a different prospect like Ahac.</div></div>
In reality, I'd think NJD keeps him. But for this fun post, he got shipped for Brisson.

Yes. When we traded Pateryn for Cole, the only reason they were both allowed to skip quarantine was because they were able to travel by car between LA (where we were) and Anaheim (where Colorado was). If any air travel was involved (or possibly even just a long enough car ride that they needed to make gas/bathroom stops), they would have needed to quarantine according to Michael Russo.
The quarantine would be less severe than the 14 days needed if you cross the border, but even a week would still suck in a shortened season.

Vegas already has 20 players under contract for next season, and are 4 million under a flat cap. The only UFAs they have currently are Nosek and Martinez, and the only RFAs are the guys without a lot of NHL time like Schuldt and Coghlan. So no real deal breakers</div></div>
I think they are hoping to get Martinez back at half. They’ll be just fine without having to move cap

Defense master plan Who accepts and who doesnt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vegasloveforthebills</b></div><div>Vegas absolutely declines.
Why would they pay Edler 500 K more for one season when they have McNabb for two. And both will be playing 1LD with Petro.
Then trade the guy who they have playing 1C and a first round pick for a winger that will be on their second if not third line.
And they have that 1C under a cheap deal for three more years
I know people don’t get him playing there, but he does fit with it two wingers he has in stone and Pacioretty</div></div>
Vegas declines easily and I'm happy with his play but Stephenson is in no way a 1C. It's even kind of disingenuous to say he plays that role for us, he doesn't in the sense everyone thinks about it.
He is in the position that many good third liners have found themselves in over the years where they are the third forward (usually its a winger, not a center) thrown in with two tremendous linemates that help them look like they are a top six forward.
Stone drives that line offensively and defensively like a 1C everyone thinks of would and Pacioretty is an elite creative and goal scoring player who also carries a lot of the weight. Of course Stephenson fits with Pacioretty and Stone, any center who is even decent will look great with those two playing how they have been.
It also doesn't hurt that they need Glass to help stabilize the line with Roy and Tuch to give us three dangerous lines, and he is.

Pettersson is worth more than that.
Vegas can't afford to move Fleury now when he's actually playing very well and Lehner isn't doing so well. Plus they are not retaining that much salary.
OTT is not taking Ceci back. They can do better than that for Tierney.
Garland's a PPG player right now. Can't see Zona moving him for spare parts and meh picks. Gotta be more substantial offer. Would you have moved Rust for something like that?
