Timmins has shown he can preform but just not given the opportunity to, he might flurrish in a place he can play everyday.

Trading with Familiar Faces
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>More silly extension talk. Leafs certainly lose in the exchange of Brodie/Nylander/Samsonov. for Zadarov/Toffelli/Vladar. Depending on Vladar and Woll to carry the team through a season certainly is iffy.</div></div>
I liked Vladar when he was with Boston and yes it is a risk, but is Woll is goalie of the future you would be hard pressed to get a 1A goalie to sign short term. I was thinking the Calgary Trade was short for the leafs and a draft pick could also come back to the leafs but did not include was thinking a second rounder

What do you think the value is? I was looking at the as Braun for Holl straight up with the extra year of control on hall the balance of that. JVR was thinking the salary was too much to retain Flyers so added a prospect and a pick.

Leafs do not do that trade
1 - Keith is not worth the money
2 - Keith wants to be on the west coast (family)
3 - Leafs are not giving up those d-man
4 - Leafs don't need Yamamoto, they already have players of this nature on the team and in the minors do not need another

TDL For Run and Term No Rentals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JaredOfLondon</b></div><div>they really gotta put a "do you really wanna trade the kid with a brain tumour?" asterix on Amirov or something
and georgiev is awful, he isnt worth a 3rd straight up right now</div></div>
Agree on Amirov, see below. happy to keep the second if you think it is an overpay for Georgiev. He was good last year and did well when Shesterkin went down earlier in the season, might be just playing time is needed. Even with the trade the goaltending is still week for the playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garak</b></div><div>Not the right deal for Hagel. This is going to sound heartless, but Amirov having been diagnosed with brain cancer SEVERELY lowers his value. Also, CHI's front office and fans that follow prospects closely are pretty high on Vlasic. No one is going to convince me Mrazek isn't a cap dump. And Dermott is 'Meh'. The 2024 1st is way too far away to value properly and would stall CHI's rebuild too much.</div></div>
Agree on Amirov, can sub with either Abruzzes or Hirovonen but they are a little future behind in development (younger), could add Seney as well, looking to send wingers as looks to be deep at center. Mrazek would be a goalie that could be used to bridge the rebuild. the 2024 1st can be used to get another prospect closer to making the jump or paired with another pick to move up in the draft

This is on the assumption that Muzzin is on LTIR for the rest of the season. The following season they will likely have to move one of the defense which would likely be Muzzin as well

LEAF TDL
The trade for phoenix is the draft picks and prospect, those are the main pieces coming back in return. While Kerfoot and Dermott are not are players that can fill the line up until the picks phoenix makes along with the 12 picks they have are ready or can bundle to get someone from another team. Kerfoot and Dermott are the Alex Tuck part of the deal similar to the Eichel trade and to balance the cap numbers

They are saying an Ehicle like return but I do not see that. I think a 2nd round pick and 2 players in the line up now which balances out the contract, one of which is a D-man to fill the hole (will not fill completely) and the other a forward that can slip up or down and can be flipped if desired. Flipping Kerfoot could fetch another 2nd rounder or more. And i think the 2nd rounder next year will be better, they already have 5 2nd rounders this year to go with 3 first rounders. Yotes are going be hard pressed in a couple years with a lot young players looking for contracts

did not know that, leave the 2nd rounder as is. Preds are weak up front, Kerfoot can fit in and play multiple locations, top prospect and draft pick for what could turn out to be a rental is more than fair

They still probably say no... That's an awful contract.</div></div>
Toronto only does the trade if Seattle agrees first, Seattle gets a 1st line center which they are missing and a change of location might be good for Johansen

The first is in 2023 so we won't be as bad. Make it top 5 protected just in case
Bahl would take over Siegenthalers spot
Dermott/Walsh would take over Subbans spot</div></div>
They would be getting the best player in the trade in Marner, leafs would need a D to replace Rielly this season with the STL trade. would prefer to take ty smith but then other players and picks need to be involved to balance salaries

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>Blues decline we dont have the cap for Reilly if we retain you either need to take scandella back instead of mikkola or get rid retention
AZ also wont swap picks lmao</div></div>
retention is insurance for the quality of return in vlad, 3 shoulder surgeries in 3 years he has only played 34 games in the last 2 years. Scandella is too costly, taking him would require stl to retain more which i do not think stl would do. Could reduce salary retention down to a $1,000,000. Made it $2million originally so Vlad and Rielly salaries are about the same, Kerfoot is for stl to have someone to slot or move for vlad as is mikkola for the leafs, and the 3rd rounder is for the difference in mikkola and kerfoot salaries.
AZ is getting picks, given what they have done figure they would take a first this year in place of the first of 2023 and then add seconds in 23 and 24, that would give them 8 picks in the first 2 rounds. They are going to use those to stock their prospects and trade for up an comers to have an elite young team

Too much for Eichel, Marner and and first. Eichel is injured and who knows what he will be like when he comes back. Also you have to have wingers to play with centres, it would be too much locked up in 3 centers

Looking for Diamonds
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Engvall for a fifth is fair; doesn't have to be with us. We have one goalie prospect rated equal to Woll (Roman Durny) and one rated MUCH better (Lukas Dostal), so that part of the trade isn't interesting.
Los Angeles isn't about to pay Morgan Rielly $8 million, which may explain why no deal got done before the 2021 draft.
Try offering Arizona your 2022 first and Rodion Amirov or Nick Robertson for Dvorak.
Jake Oettinger is Dallas' goalie of the future, so that deal isn't going anywhere.</div></div>
Rielly $8m for 7 years is realistic, look at Jones and Makar deals, $9m plus each, Hamilton likely to get $8.5 to $9m. Would not trade Rielly except they don't have room for him budget wise, better to trade now than lose at FA (i.e. hyman). Not going to get the $9 range like the others but will command the $8m
Yeah Dallas is dreaming, leafs need a prospect goalie, have not developed a goalie since Potivin, I don't count Riemer.
Dovark is fair, he is a middle 6 forward, he is only high because it is Arz. Look at compariables, Trocheck, Bjugstad, these guys are being traded for 4th round, Haula. 2nd is fair and Kerfoot is salary swap but is still a good 3rd line center could play up on 2nd line but he is a 3rd liner

The leafs should not trade for Kumper, they need a 1A/1B tandum with Campbell. Kumper does not fill this roll. Plus we do not have room for the $4.5m salary.

CLB is rebuilding, Jones will likely return more now then at the deadline, Rielly will return more at the deadline then now. Rielly will also sign for less than Jones next year although Jones does not desire more than Rielly
