Solid values on all trades IMO, I believe everyone accepts.

Not the right deal for Hagel. This is going to sound heartless, but Amirov having been diagnosed with brain cancer SEVERELY lowers his value. Also, CHI's front office and fans that follow prospects closely are pretty high on Vlasic. No one is going to convince me Mrazek isn't a cap dump. And Dermott is 'Meh'. The 2024 1st is way too far away to value properly and would stall CHI's rebuild too much.

Dermott I agree on, but I have to disagree with Mrazek. He has not been great, but he can still change that around.

Agree on Amirov, see below. happy to keep the second if you think it is an overpay for Georgiev. He was good last year and did well when Shesterkin went down earlier in the season, might be just playing time is needed. Even with the trade the goaltending is still week for the playoffs

Agree on Amirov, can sub with either Abruzzes or Hirovonen but they are a little future behind in development (younger), could add Seney as well, looking to send wingers as looks to be deep at center. Mrazek would be a goalie that could be used to bridge the rebuild. the 2024 1st can be used to get another prospect closer to making the jump or paired with another pick to move up in the draft
Garak liked this.

Hasn't it been reported that Chicago was turning down 1st-and-a-prospect packages for Hagel already? Like, you have that here, but then you add Dermott & Mrazek to have Chicago send another prospect back?

Dermott has meh value. He's probably a solid bottom pair guy but he's already 25 so he's most likely reached his ceiling. Chicago will find a use for him but he's more or less the definition of a replacement level player, so hard to say he brings a ton of value to the trade. Mrazek has really struggled this year, is now on the wrong side of 30, has a terrible injury history, and has 2 more years at $3.8M AAV. That cap hit means that any GM is going to know that TML needs to move that contract to bring in whatever goalie upgrade they're targeting, so it becomes the truest definition of a cap dump. You can maybe make a case that the positive value Dermott brings would cancel out Mrazek's negatives, but then you have to take Vlasic out and then also realize that Amirov(or whoever) and a 1st isn't going to be enough to pry Hagel out of Chicago.
