Bold of you to call Gus barely an NHL player this season, when that is simply untrue.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>We_Want_The_Cup</b></div><div>Sure. Nic Beaudin & Ryan Poehling is a positional shift between two prospects of equal value. I don't mind that.
The next part of the trade is Suzuki for Gus.
Suzuki 20 years old, future #1 or #2C, current fringe 2-to-3 C. He's on his first NHL season, meaning that most likely, he can only head upwards. His value is a 1st pick +
Gus is 27 years old, future offensive 1st pairing, current 2nd pairing. He's done some great stuff in one season, but consistency is still a question mark. His value is repeatedly quoted around 2nd + 3rd pick.
Nylander is a high-risk move, as a change of scenery hasn't helped him much. I personally have low interest in him altogether, so there's personal bias there.
Value wise, I think you're noticeably off, but not be a terribly insulting amount. It's also a situational misunderstanding issue. If the Habs are to trade Suzuki, it's to get something certain & long-term. On the flip side, Gus is likely not in the long-term horizon of CHI.
Habs would much prefer to pay 2nd + 3rd, or even 2nd + 2nd for Gus, given their context. Asking for an untouchable in Suzuki is heresy.</div></div>
I can respect this opinion.

Poehling and Suzuki have top 6 potential Suzuki maybe even top 3 . Both are either ready or a year away . Time to dump Gus was this summer . Nylanders stock has fallen . Beaudin has top 3 potential . This is a great trade for hawks that bergevin would be fired for making

Petry to WSH Tatar to NSH Thompson to WPG
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DomCholette</b></div><div>As a business owner knowing that profit comes from the playoff runs... how can you justify behing out for the 4th time in the last 5 years... just by saying futur will be bright!
Sorry he said it 3 years ago when he called the reset... it's playoff or OUT.
You don't need to sacrifice all your future to acquire better position player.
Look at the Fabbri addition in Detroit... or Louis Domingue as a second G...
or Gusev for a 2nd & 3rd... I am not asking for the homerun like Stone last February.. to Vegas for Lindberg, Brannstrom, 2nd (Habs type of player: Lehkonen, Mete, 2nd)
or Trouba for Pionk & 1st (20OA) (habs type: Chiarot, 1st 20+OA ( liuke Poehling, Juulsen, Sherback, McCarron, Beaulieu, Tinordi etc...)
I think you got my point... we can't stay still and hope for best... not in MTL</div></div>
He doesn't care about the playoffs, He cares about creating the Canadiens of the past. He wants long term success, not a trade everything to make the playoffs once.
I'm not someone who wants to make the playoffs and get flunked in the 1st round. Only time I want to make the playoffs is if we can go far. We are not there yet and it's better if we miss the playoffs this year.

Tatar might be worth a 1st + lower rd pick, but not a top prospect AND 1st

Top3 RHD + middle six winger + 4th vs excellent 2nd line winger I mean value is more than fair, but Petry’s age + contract ending < Ehlers younger and sign long term. But Mtl wouldn’t do that and Winnipeg either, just won’t happen because it doesn’t make sense for both team

you're just making excuses for a consistent addict
irregardless as Rebiro showed leaving MTL and DAL with similar party lifestyle issues that it effects trade value greatly .
it will prove to be a trend making him a player you sign in the summer rather then give up picks for .
Galchenyuk's has been traded more then Rebiro despite Mike being a well known Alcoholic
next you'll be defending voynov's right to beat his wife as long as he can play in MTL lmfao</div></div>
Bruh, the fact that you think im rooting for an addict is true. I am rooting for him to overcome that and become a better person whihc im sure he already has made a ton of progress on that. Im sorry im not part of the habs fanbase who just kick players to curb and spit on them for the rest of their careers. And stop trying to imply that ill defend assault, calm down. Typical habs fanbase. Unbelievable

I hope they won't. Another great pick would make the futur even brighter... FLA, TB, TOR, BOS, BUF, PHI, PIT, WAS, CAR and NYI are all better teams than MTL. So, no playoffs on paper. With Drouin, KK, Mete and Byron out of the lineup, it won't help

Danault is part of this futur for sure... You can add a great prospect from this years draft as well. I think we can expect a top 12 pick this year which means one of Holloway, Rossi, Perfetti, Holtz, Stutzle or Amirov can be add to this group
