a new set of wings

What would you add to it to make it more acceptable to Carolina?

A one year trial. He definitely needs a restart. If he works, great.

We could add some $ and/or term to it and I would be fine.

Necas could spark Zadina. Another young body. Not sure if he can play center, but that could be intersting.

Add this right Handed Shot
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>trentbarney</b></div><div>Palmieri is the better player for sure, but he doesn't make sense for the wings in a rebuild.</div></div>
Palmieri is still available. And if he would sign for 1-2 years he would be a flippable asset.

No to Virtanen, but I would sign Palmieri to a deal. It would give us more line combination choices.

Red Wings 19-20
A one year show-me deal doesn't hurt anybody. He is a right hand shot. There is an opening on right wing. Not a risk at all. If he doesn't work out they can send him down.

Wings in 20
I think the Tampa deal could work for both teams. I don't see Carolina as giving up on Bean, but rather swapping out a D from a crowded field for an F with family ties and a decent pick in the draft. Vegas needs cap space. Miller is a 3rd pairing defensemen that was a healthy scratch at times. Giving up his salary for 2 prospects whose salary can be buried in the minors may work for them. Toronto does not have cap room for everyone. Yes, Kapanen is leaps and bound better than Glendening, but they need someone like Luke and they need the cap room. I would take Andreas Johnsson if that looks better.

You may be right about the money. I think the player swap is fine. Bump it up to 6,500,000?

Not a bad lineup. I think something like this could work. I would like a stronger Defense and we might be able to get that through trades.

Wings18/19
I don't know if Grubauer is a legit #1, but I think he would be an excellent place holder for a couple of years. Howard could sign a 2 year extension and they could fill the net as a 1A and 1B. That would give the WIngs time to see how Larsson, Fulcher and Petruzzelli develop.
I was thinking that Wash would have to add a little something in the Grubauer/AA swap.
Do you think Wings could trade Svechnikov for Bean? Carolina could draft Andrei and put the brothers together. How is Bean developing?
Also, by trading for a young D, the Wings could draft Wahlstrom possibly.
