I’d do all except Calgary trade. The Carolina one is interesting and I’ve been thinking it may spark Zadina.

I don't think Klingberg is signing for that little. Could try to get Bear as part of the Carolina deal, but would have to add.

I like(d) Monahan, but at this point, I see at least four players on this roster that I'd rather have as 2C.

Necas could spark Zadina. Another young body. Not sure if he can play center, but that could be intersting.

We could add some $ and/or term to it and I would be fine.

I doubt Carolina accepts that. Klingberg is 29 and I'm pretty sure he going to want more term and thats if he would even sign in Detroit. Adding Klingberg does make Hronek expendable.

A one year trial. He definitely needs a restart. If he works, great.

What would you add to it to make it more acceptable to Carolina?

I'm not sure that would be a question for a Carolina fan. But if Detroit doesn't sign Klingberg they can't trade Hronek. Seider is the only skater on the Wings with more TOI Hronek averaged 22 minutes a game. Hronek and Seider had more TOI than Griess.

It would only make sense if Detroit acquired a Klingberg or Petry. It’s more than enough value imo as defensemen > wingers value wise. Can say one has potential and the other doesn’t because defensemen take longer to develop and they’re close in age + production.

I'm on board with Klingberg but Petry is too old with too much term.

I think it was you who brought up the Wings were pairing Hronek with the partners that are all wrong form him. They also have him playing 22 minutes a game. Do you think that is too much? You know I like Hronek but honestly if we could actually sign Klingberg then I have no issues with trading Hronek.

It’s possible, I have mentioned over the course of a couple seasons. He really should be paired with a defensive left handed preferably physical guy. The first guy that comes to mind (comparable age) would a left handed Carlo. If McIsaac wasn’t stunted developmentally due to injuries I think stylistically they’d be a great pair. I think another easily acquirable guy would be MP from Pitt but he lacks that physicality. Problem is every team is looking for what I just described.

McIsaac's shoulders are just like Fabbri's knees. Yes Pettersson would be good but will Yzerman trade for him he has 3yrs left and with $4M cap hit he isn't easily flippable.
