Game 3 Lineup

Myers has the flu and will probably be out the series.

Game 3 Lineup
I’d go with this:
Pettersson Miller Boeser
Joshua Blueger Garland
Höglander Lindholm Podkolzin
Mikheyev Suter Lafferty

A VAN and CAR trade idea - feedback welcome
The Canucks aren’t going to trade Hronek because he wants 500k more than what he’s worth. You don’t trade half of one of the top D pairs in the league just because of rumours from the twitter. Necas is good value in a return but why would either team do this trade?

A center has more value than a winger, especially a defensive minded center that wins face-offs.

You're telling me that Toffoli is worth Kuzmenko, Brzustewicz, 2024 1st, 2024 3rd, 2024 4th, and Jurmo. Sure bud.

Hanifin Prediction
Given how much Brisebois gave up to get both Hagel and Jeannot, there is no way this is all they give up for a second pair defenseman, especially if they expect to re-sign him. I’d say they probably add their 2026 1st rounder to the deal to make it realistic.

Trade Deadline with Petey extension
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Warpbox</b></div><div>Pretty fine with the overall moves but I imagine with them you run a lineup of something like
Hoglander-Pettersson-Lindholm
Guentzel-Miller-Boeser
Joshua-Bueger-Garland
Maroon-Suter-Duhaime</div></div>
I agree with this, they'd have so many options on what they could do if they get Guentzel, you could go 4 scoring lines or the big top 2 lines

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>I think there's potential to see a Huberdeau for Tkachuck like situation this TDL or before July 1
Lindholm's acquisition especially makes it doable as he and JTM can be the C's</div></div>
I think it's too soon for a trade deadline type deal. Rutherford wouldn't do that. But it's getting to the point where all the noise is affecting the player and the team. Pettersson's whole body language and attitude reminds me of Miller's last year. Super pissy and selfish, but I feel like Miller's came from his intense desire to win while Petterssons is coming from an egotistical view of himself as a $13mil player that wants out.

Totally, why would Ottawa get rid of him? And why would the Canucks pay this much? Not a great fit

I think the lineup through the next 2 seasons is going to be more value guys now especially after signing Lindholm. Maybe bring back Tanev, Cole, or Myers for a year but you have to think about the future with Willander and Lekkerimaki.

No way the Canucks do this. Lekkerimaki is a stud and his cap hit being so low will be so useful during the OEL years

For a team that might not (won’t) make the playoffs, this is quite the risky (stupid) move.
That being said Lou probably does it.

I also don't believ that Brzustewicz would be included in a deal for Lindholm if there's also a 1st involved, more likely it would be Raty.</div></div>
All the salaries are pretty big overpays except for Joshua, Blueger, etc. There’s a give or take of a million per player but this is one the high end.

He’s one year removed from a 39 goal season. I’m sure a team pays a second for him. Look at all the mock trades for Boeser that tried shipping him out for nothing, look at his production now?

Retool continued while trying to remain somewhat competitive
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MT9</b></div><div>You guys know you are right there to win a cup. Tom Willander looks to be a good prospect but its a longshot he is even as good or has as good a career as someone like Faulk.
Thought you wanted to get out of the Garland contract and Kuzmenko doesnt fit. Before the season you guys wanted to do anything you could to get rid of Meyers.
Buchy is a huge upgrade in your top six and Faulk is a huge upgrade over someone like Meyers. Neither are UFAs. Tom Willander is hardly a massive price to pay for these upgrades. Once you put a name to some of these 1st round picks they really do become untouchable to fanbases.</div></div>
I don't know where you are getting your scouting reports on the Canucks from but maybe you should turn on the TV and watch a Canucks game. Garland is not for trade, Willander is a stud and Myers is having a better year than Faulk. Cope a little harder, not selling the future for those guys
