I also understand you are clearing cap but Girgensons and Larsson are not going to be that easy to pawn off. Lehner is worth much more than that. Smith is getting a million dollars besides never proving anything at the NHL level, why not resign Redmond at that point too? Its an interesting idea but i dont get these values.</div></div>
Also massively is a bit of strong word for 1.5mil lol.... Smith's contract was higher in my mind because it would be incentive based.

Johnny T in Buffalo?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Greenothemeano</b></div><div>Yeah I agree, that's a complete waste of Robin Lehner</div></div>
Lehner is a great goalie, he has value but that drops significantly with him being an RFA with a reasonable tender. He could get payed a lot and teams that would be trading for him may not be able to match other offers on him. So I low-balled that trade a little bit on purpose because thst value is unknown.

Wilson's only going to get better, he plays the right way and approaches preparation the right way. Hes someone that if you lock down early with a slight overpay it will pay off down the road like what Nashville did with Calle Jarnkrok.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Larkinisking</b></div><div>Get real Buffalo is nowhere near better then Detroit right ow, Zero chance that either Kronwall or Helm waive for Buffalo. Kronner is going to retire a Red Wing probably the same with Helm as long as Holland is at the helm of the team. Buffalo is definitely giving up the better pieces here. Then can get better then a hobbling Kronwall and Helm.</div></div>
yes you grasped the concept, we are giving up good pieces that just need new starts. They are giving up dead weight on their squad but would be great for our team because we need leaders and If we get Dahlin I can think of no one better for him to study under than Nik Kronwall

Being very realistic.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Zach</b></div><div>1. I traded for Campbell to take over for Ullmark as Amerks starter
2. Botterill said Ullmark will be 1 of the 2 goalies, doesn't mean someone like Schneider couldn't be the other guy</div></div>
1. Cambell is a capable NHL goalie and is not the kind of guy you grab for the minors, Most likely Ukka Pekka Lukkannen will be in Roc next year, if not they will sign someone younger to player down there.
2. Schneider still has 4 years left at 6m you said so that is exactly not the kind of guy your bringing in to play with Linus if you want Linus to become the starter you have to player him for 45-50 games next year to see how he handles the load, you don't want to be paying Cory 6m to play around 30 games expecially when there are a lot of good goalies hitting the market this summer. My vote is carter hutton on a 2 year deal for no more than 3m

how is acquiring 2 goalies in cambell and schneider realistic? botts already said Ullmark is going to be one of the 2 goalies with the sabres next year barring something crazy happening. and if they were going to grab a goalie to mentor ullmark its not going to be a guy like Schneider who is a clear starter for a number of more years its going to be a guy that they can get on a bridge deal and that Ullmark can compete for the top spot with.

I would be shocked if we have even a mid level free agent come in the off season let alone tow premiere ones... Botts isnt going to over pay to lure anyone here. The only change will be prospects coming in next year.

Sabres Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shibbal18</b></div><div>Every Gm would take 1 1st over 2 2nds. The math and logic is in their favor. Especially when your sending Pit and Chi's 2nds. Potentially thats like swapping pick 20 for pick 52 and 59. You'd have to send back a first so that only works if you're moving up.</div></div>
You dont know the stats about drafting do you lol. Late round 1sts and 2nd round picks have only a 7 percent difference in gp. So the disperancy between the 2 is not that different so have more picks is having a better chance to hit. If they just keep there first (that will be late) they miss on it, then their hopes are on a 4th from that draft.

Sabres Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shibbal18</b></div><div>Buying out Bogosian is cheaper and will not be a significant impact on their cap. I agree ROR is invaluable. Nelson is not worth 1.2 mill lol. Pateryn is a RHD having a hell of a year right now, someone the Sabres should target if Dallas lets him go. IDK that NYI deal makes any sense, nor is feasible. Cullen is not having a good season, I dont see him coming back if MIN isnt interested.
The side they shoot on doesnt affect which side they play on. Sabres need to worry about their LW more than their RW.
I'm kinda hoping the Sabres dont win Dahlin or if they do trade out of #1, they really need a top end LWer (Zadina or Tkachuk)</div></div>
The NYI dont have a 2n or third in that draft thats why its possible they would be willing to trade out of a 1st to get more picks. Also cole and cullen could be changed out for any veterans with winning pedigree to bring to the locker room which would be their purpose.
