Why Can't anyone be Realistic?

Created by: carlcataclysm
Team: 2018-19 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 18, 2018
Published: Apr. 18, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The best thing for the Sabres is to remain patient trade guys out that are not going to be long term here (like I did) bring in verterens that are still serviceable as well as bring the right kind of culture that we are looking to cultivate.

You allow you young guns that are ready to step into the nhl an ample opportunity to play and fill in the right pieces around them to show them the way. Also bringing in vets you allow the players that are not ready to work on their game in the minors.

Helm is an injury on skates. He's ok but you don't want him. Kronwall I hate to say is done. Keep your players. Lehner can get you something better than that package.

Get real Buffalo is nowhere near better then Detroit right ow, Zero chance that either Kronwall or Helm waive for Buffalo. Kronner is going to retire a Red Wing probably the same with Helm as long as Holland is at the helm of the team. Buffalo is definitely giving up the better pieces here. Then can get better then a hobbling Kronwall and Helm.

Eichel>literally every single redwing combined x10. detroit is garbage and virtually everyone on that roster is overpaid

Edit: you can add ROR to the better than every redwing combined list

Not sure Kari at 3.5 is your answer in goal. Get him at 2 or 2.5 million and get another goalie that cap split the season. Nevermind, just get another goalie.

he's not the answer, he's the mentor. Linus is the answer. You over pay to get him to come.

I'm cool with taking on those contracts if it means I have guys that can embed some of the winning culture that they lived in detroit for so many years

yes you grasped the concept, we are giving up good pieces that just need new starts. They are giving up dead weight on their squad but would be great for our team because we need leaders and If we get Dahlin I can think of no one better for him to study under than Nik Kronwall

are you serious dude... lol... they made the playoffs for 20 straight years and that didn't come to an end until 2015-16 season... if that's not a winning culture idk what is.

doesn't matter making the playoffs is being a winning team. you don't have to win it all to be good.
