Best prospect I'd do for Zucker is Hallander, but a tweener like Lafferty could also be added.</div></div>
Hate to see Lafferty go. I don't think he's a 1st liner or even a full time 2nd but I really don't think we've seen his best yet with all the moving around due to injuries.

That's why I want him on the team.

Hamilton is pretty much done for the year. Golden is more than likely not the "golden Ticket" but he would be a cheap 2-3 RD pairing. (sorry, Holden)

Holden is a RD though he is left handed.

Don't mind the Schultz trade. If PIT is retaining 50%, would want to see some of the infamous D depth that Carolina has. A guy like McKeown would be a nice add.

It is how it works and it makes sense because when a player looks better with more time on the higher lines (like he can't get with PIT), he looks better and can gain more ASSETS that a re-building team needs. Stevie Y has been a great GM but please don't forget that he is dealing with a VERY different situation than he was in TB. DET has such a void on minor league/drafted talent that every pick is needed.

NB is a cap dump, and in the world of Salary Cap hockey that costs something. You make it sound like trading Nick is some form of upgrade.
Please, remember we do not have to trade AA, he IS NOT a UFA player but a player who is a RFA for 2 more years. I doubt Stevie just gives him away. We are rebuilding and with this team in this shape might as well keep him to see if he rebounds.</div></div>
Acquiring Bjugs gives DET a player to look at and trade if he doesn't fit. Picking up players is picking up assets.

The guy is a 2-3 liner on most teams ( can't crack the 1st on DET by the way), had 1 really good year and you want other teams to bank the farm on him? He's a slightly more offensively gifted Bryan Rust. A 2nd on it's own is a good return.

Yeah. McCann at 3.5 isn't too bad but he really is nothing more than Rust/Tanev but can play C. MP, really good 2nd pairing, can't pay him more than Dumo. Riko I can live with, Jarry unless a Cup run gets a 2-2.5 show me. Labanc may just be Labanc (rupt) gambling on himself off of last year. Then there is Simon....I'm sorry, screw "metrics" but unless this guy is working the turnstyles before the game and sweeping up after, I have no Idea why he is in the NHL.

If PIT decides to trade Murray, there will be teams lining up to get a 2x Stanley Cup champion RFA that is still only 25 (soon to be 26) years old.</div></div>
A lot goes into where he is right now as well. In the past 4 years, he has been promoted to the NHL ( when most, if any thought he'd ever be. Though plenty after the fact had him pegged....) won 2 Cups, signed a multi-year/multi-million dollar contract, lost his Father and got married. Been a busy couple few years for a 26 year old guy.

Maybe take on Mark Pysyk back in the FLA trade (keep the Dillon retention) to help them out on cap to get the 1st. SJS could easily flip him to NYI for JHS, keep their 5th and maybe pick up a 4th.

I've tried a few trades with BUF involving Murray for Miller (as a start, obviously other pieces) and have been torn apart for it. Murray hasn't been the same since Mike Bales left and PIT is very shallow at RD where BUF is pretty deep right now. It's the perfect hockey trade. I'd be fine with Murray, Gal (with 50% retained), POJ, 2021 2nd and 2020 3rd for Miller, Hutton, Fitzgerald and 2020 2nd.

Ready now D or in a couple few years? I could get behind adding Addison for Coghlan, maybe adding a Vegas 3rd somewhere along the line.
