You want to pay Monahan 6.5 mil to play 12-13 minutes a night on the 3rd line. Hard pass. That cap can be spent better elsewhere.
I'd rather take that cap and the DeBrusk cap and bring Jake back for a combined less cap hit and have an actual 1LW again.
Which should have been the point of signing a natural LW in Teräväinen, instead of putting him on the RW 2nd line.

Some of those 4th line signings too. Carrier cousins.... they going back to their current team on those cap hits. Not only is it better for them tax wise, they already live there. If they are happy there they will stay there.</div></div>
