which JT Miller package is best
You have them in the right order I think, from best to worst. Either way, he isn't going anywhere before the deadline. If the Canucks can't sign him to an extension, they'll deal him at the draft or in the off season.

Who would we compare John Marino too? Is this kid that good of a player? If so, why does Pit want to move him.

Hard no from Vancouver. Boeser qualifies at 7.5M in the offseason. If they could sign him at 6M he wouldn't be on the block

23 will be a better draft class. I could see that. But the 3rd would turn into a 4th.

If they keep Boeser, they only have 9M to spend on the same 3 pieces.
If they can't move Poolman or Dickenson, they can afford Boeser but can't make any real change to the lineup.

It doesn't matter. No one is offering a 3rd for Schenn and I'm fine with that. The nucks are better off with him in the lineup.

Nucks next year
As much as I'd like to see the Canucks get Schneider, I don't think Drury is moving him in any circumstance.
The deal on the table, I believe, is Kravtsov, Chytyl and a 2022 1st.
I don't think a team takes on Myers right now and honestly if there's no decent trade to be made, Van is better off with him in the lineup.

Who's Ty Voit? No I don't think it's enough. Voit needs to be upgraded to a top 5 prospect in the system, specifically a RHD. I don't think the leafs have the pieces to make it work.

Toronto Maple Leafs Trade Deadline 2022
I know the islanders aren't having a great year but Mayfield has quite a few years left on his deal at a very cheap number. I don't think Lou is trying to move him.
The Hayton deal makes no sense.
I guess the value is there for Miller trade, but I also think there's probably a better deal out there than this one for him. I also don't know much about Abramov so idk, maybe it's better than I think.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>I think that’s more because the center he should be playing with looks lost.
He can play center. It’s more than just out of necessity. His skill set is best suited on the wing.</div></div>
Miller and Petey haven't really played together this year outside of the power play. They started together when he originally got to Van because they wanted to shelter the rookie with a veteran that can take draws and move to the wing but in the process they realized that Miller was more effective as a center. And a lot of people have been talking about his two way game and I want to put a slight damper on that. He's an offense first player, he's a passionate player, he's a gritty player, there are some defensive woes that come with it. That said, he plays PK, he plays top line PP. He scores at will on a not so great team which means he drives offense, and that he doesn't rode coat tails. He comes at a nice AAV for the rest of this and next. Potentially for 50% of that AAV too if someone is willing to give up an additional asset. He's a really good add at center or the wing if you're looking for depth in case a top 6 center goes down in the playoffs. Every team trying to make a run should want him. He's that good.
Out of curiosity, what is it about his game that makes you think he is a winger and not a center?

Matt Duchene trade was obviously an abomination in the end, but Ottawa was a goal away from the cup the previous year so that 1st was viewed as a mid-20s pick at most and we know what happened, can't just pick two instances that help you without a little background.
Miller may very well go for a heaping return, those are just poor examples. think whatever team that will give that much of a return will regret it, despite Miller being great</div></div>
Lol it's all fun man. I agree with you.

Schnarr and Bahl are very poor skaters from an NHL level perspective, and Bahl has hands of stone. Merkely is small and a poor skater for his size, and already had major injury troubles. After all, he'd already been thrown out by Arizona. I'm not a big Hall fan at all and Mercer eventually ended up being the plum of the bunch, but in hindsight the Devils could have done better.</div></div>
ya ya, Im with you. Hall was also a true rental and there was a very small chance he was re-signing.

Those other three players all have major weaknesses, and my end up as career AHLers. More importantly, one cannot simply pick out terrible deals made by one GM and set that as the standard. The Blues fleeced Buffalo a few years back, but that doesn't mean every GM will hand us a similar gift. Frankly, the entire notion of trade comparables is faulty. Every situation is different. And some GMs are smarter than others. Sometimes by a lot.</div></div>
Agreed. when we're talking prospects, they can easily turn into duds or they can become Samuel Girards. You don't know. And who's to say a GM won't get "fleeced" here with a Miller trade. We won't know until year 2 or 3 when JT is long gone from whatever team he goes to. The deals above are rumors that have been posted online based on the current ask. Do they happen? Probably not but that's the ask right now and if they won't settle for anything less until the off-season.

Let's not forget, Taylor Hall (rental) was traded for Nick Merkley, Nate Schnarr, Kevin Bahl and a first rounder (Dawson Mercer). Matt Duchene (UFA -2) was traded for Samuel Girard, Shane Bowers, a first rounder (Bowen Byram), Kamenev a 2nd and a 3rd. lol

Yeah, you're right. Miller is healthy and is a GAMER. Clutch performer as well. I'd rather have him than Eichel at this point.

Fair enough on Minny, I get Greenway was just re-signed and he's one of those guy's that has more value than his points would suggest.
If there's a bidding war and enough teams are seriously interested in him for a cup run, i think the price tag is there. At 50% retained, whoever gets him can easily flip him at the draft if cap future cap space is an issue. Honestly if the Canucks don't get this type of a package than they better wait till the offseason.

JT's a point per game player with 2 years left on his deal. With 50% retained, you don't think he's worth a high end prospect, a 25th to 32nd first round pick and a top 9 roster player?
If not, what's he worth?
