SENS FANS I TOLD YOU SO
Rangers couldn't match as they couldn't have any team retain salary on tarasenko. NHL doesn't allow a team to acquire and have other team retain salary on the same player in a 12 month period since he was last in the team...which was June for senko

Panarin is Back
NYR do not trade Hayes for two 2nd rd picks, that just isnt in the cards. The return on him would have to be more, plus your contract is well below his asking price/value. Statistically he has been one of the better 5v5 forwards over the last 2 seasons.

Record Predictions/Expectations
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SuprDave45</b></div><div>Totally agree with this. If all goes well and Spooner produces similar to last year while Howden plays well in Hartford, the Rangers are likely to flip him for a 2nd or a prospect to a contender, with his replacement just waiting for a call up. It's not that Spooner is a bad player, he's just taking up a spot that the Rangers are going to need down the line.</div></div>
My thoughts exactly. You get it SuprDave45 unlike 95% of this website.

Record Predictions/Expectations
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SuprDave45</b></div><div>I am in rough agreement...
Not a fan of O'Gara...he's an AHL'er imo..
The rest of the money looks about right, though I would give Spooner 2...
On the subject of Spooner, I would let him center the 4th line, with Fast and Vesey, they should be able to beat up other team's 4th line. Meskanen will surprise and gets Spooner's minutes on the wing. This leaves Howden fighting for 1C minutes in Hartford, which would be much better for his growth.</div></div>
I do not disagree with your statements. O'Gara is surely an AHL Dman, but I do think we retain him for the depth as he could play a poorly sheltered 3rd pairing if necessary. I do like the idea of spooner on the 4th line but i do hear Howden plays a strong 2 way game. Agree 100% that Meskanen or Howden will benefit more by playing 3rd line minutes or in the AHL 16+ min a night rather than on a 4th line. Also wouldnt be suprised if Chytil plays C & Anderson shifts to Wing as Anderson did play on Hayes wing when he was called up at the end of last year. As for Spooner i dont think he is part of the long term plans, so a 1-2 year deal makes sense. I think he gets dealt at the deadline to a contending team that needs some bottom 6 depth so depends if they want a pure rental or someone they can control for 1 more year.

His progression has yet to get to that next level. He was being counted on to make a larger impact but fails to do so on a nightly basis. .5ppg to push almost $6mil a year, no thank you

Grabner you have to take into account the track record and he is streaky...count the ENG and the goal total inflated...adds the speed and PK...For an expiring contract is a lot...don't get me wrong I'd love that return, hope your right

Possibly...he has a bad rep around the league, he plays a big game...I was thinking a potential higher almost bridge type deal since he is only 26..could cash in after with a few solid years in the spotlight of nyc

His contract is up at the end of the year, could be decent on a 3rd pairing...unlike the rangers who continue to use him on first pairing

NYR Future @ $80mil
I can see him getting slightly more but he is an RFA so even if it goes to arbitration I can't see them going much higher considering the down year and anticipating him taking the next step. He can leverage the ability to play center and wing
