Krug will likely get more money then this too.</div></div>
Definitely could see Krug getting more. Other option would be to let Elliott walk and backup Hart with Lyon on a much cheaper deal.

If Laine really wants out of Winnipeg, they're gonna have to do something. If Frost is added, I don't see them getting a better deal from anybody. I would add Frost if it was necessary, honestly I don't think the Jets have the leverage in this deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wolsen92</b></div><div>I think you are going to need a little more to get Laine, I like this a lot though, and I would like to see myers on a longer term deal, I always use 4.5 for 5 or 6, he is going to be our best d-man in a couple of years. I think you would need to add maybe another first and a prospect. MTL wouldnt want ghost they do not need a LHD, maybe a team like the kings, have no pressure to do well and willing to take a change on a former 60 point d-man to kickstart their rebuild?</div></div>
100% want Myers on a longer deal, I just don't think we can swing it this year on a flat cap. As for the Ghost trade, I'd sent him to wherever wanted him. Kings would be a good fit.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>The proposal for Laine is kind of meh. Sanheim is real nice, but an LD so not a long term need for Winnipeg who would prefer an RD. Rubstov so far hasn't amounted to much, so I don't see him as someone the Jets would target. Ratcliffe is a winger and again not someone the Jets would target. The first is nice, but Winnipeg would want the 2020 first.</div></div>
I understand from a handedness standpoint, but Sanheim did play on the right with Provorov in the past. I agree about Rubtsov, but he hasn't had much of a chance (averaged like 9:00 TOI when called up). I think Ratcliffe would definitely be an asset to you guys down the line behind Connor. Totally would give the 2020 pick if the trade is made before the draft. Curious though, what more would you want?

Duchene Subban Nylander Read Description
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Actually I think the deals are fair. One problem in the future for the Flyers might be is they don't big cap contracts expiring when they will need cap for their future RFAs. I'm one of few Leaf fans who likes the deal you proposed. Leafs need cap room, and Nylander is the best choice to get rid the necessary cap.,</div></div>
Thank you and I can't deny that the cap is going to be a problem, but I think there are ways around it. The easiest, of course, would be to trade JVR cause I think his relevance to this team is fleeting (and am not even sure it was there last year when we signed him). That will certainly get us out of trouble for 2020, but Hart's 2021 deal is gonna be tough. I think pushing the cap is worth it though, as it will at least buy us a two year immediate window. After that anything can change especially with the CBA expiring.

Duchene Subban Nylander Read Description
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryminister_27</b></div><div>Leafs aren't taking that deal. They value Nylander high internally. If you want a serious offer, start with Konency or Myers and work your way from there</div></div>
Konecny just had a better season than Nylander and will most likely sign for two million dollars less, and won't hold out on his team for 8 months before doing so. If you want Myers, you're looking at trade for him and maybe a second. If you think you're getting the 11th overall and Myers, you gotta be hitting the same glass as your last mayor.
But hey, if you guys wanna stick to your guns and refuse to clear cap, you can draft all the top prospects you want with the four picks you end up with after your golden boy gets offersheeted when he sees his Apple sponsorship contract is more than you can afford to pay him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaptainFlynnt</b></div><div>Drouin and rights to Mike Reilly for gostisbehere? Habs will be competing for Duchene.
At first when you said Myers I assumed you meant Tyler Myers. He would be a very good free agent pickup for Philly in my opinion.</div></div>
I wouldn't be opposed to that but I think the habs would want more and i wouldn't pay it. I think gostisbehere could thrive in vigneault's quick transition system and wouldn't give up on him for another year.
I came into the offseason liking Tyler Myers but i just don't think he fills what we want on the top pair and while I'd still like him on the second pair I think it would only serve to suppress the young guys.

I'd give another/better prospect (not frost/farabee) or pick even though I'd call it an overpay. You guys need help on the back pairs of defense unless you want charlie fckn coyle ripping you up in the playoffs again. Gudas has strong suppressive advanced stats especially against grit forwards and would cost you only about 800k more than one of those NCAA guys you put out there now.

Bolstering The Defense
The trades might be a bit of an overpayment but I still like em and think they'd more than make up for the "loss" of voracek, that is if you could actually get buffalo to accept (can't see winnipeg declining). The only major thing I'd change is the free agent signings. I'd rather see Duchene (9-10mil) and Connolly (3.5) than Hayes (6.25) and Zuc (5.25) despite the extra million+ cap hit.

With the Flyers finally attempting to "win now", I don't see Chuck Fletcher moving the team's most improved player for a prospect and a pick (no matter how valuable they might be).
