You have proven that you're not trustworthy. I should've known that, but I'm too nice to everyone.
MIN is cutting off all communication with VAN. Not that it matters, since you never trade with anyone unless you're fleecing them.
Have a nice day.

You cry, we give you tissues…
We are introducing a new way to sign contracts in the GM Game. Starting right now, teams can declare to match a player’s irl contract. You can do this by putting a player’s name in the brand new “Contract Matching” thread. Once you put a player there…
- that post can NOT be edited
- that player can NOT have a contract negotiated by BOG
- that player can NOT be traded until they have signed a contract IRL
This process is for both UFAs and RFAs and the rules apply to both groups. You may not negotiate a contract with BOG then choose to take the IRL offer. As soon as you send in an offer to a BOG member you no longer have the option to match an irl deal and same thing vise versa.
Only for this offseason are teams allowed to put players they already signed (or another team signed) in that thread and match what they get irl NO MATTER WHAT. You may NOT renegotiate a current deal to be less than it already is. If you are unhappy with the deal, you can elect to take the risk and go with the IRL deal.
We will also be remaking a GM Game Trust group that will vote on BOG contracts and help with other things.
Thanks,
BOG

Alright so rule proposal
All in game RFA extentions will be matched to their IRL deals, regardless of any trade/holdout
If a player holds out, you may not ice them in your lineup
If a player does not get QO’d and gets sent to UFA, you may sign them at their QO
Like if you agree!!!

So it seems that a lot of people are in agreement that we should use IrL deals for RFAs. Consensus seems to be to remove all RFA signings that have happened and start the IrL immediately. If a player doesn’t have an IRL deal then the GM can QO them until an IRL deal happens.

Not many folks seem to be willing to take on big contracts for longer than 5 years.
Hell I'm shopping Boeser (7.5m x 8) and the offers range in the 2nd++ range. GM Game evaluations on guys are crazy sometimes</div></div>
i mean doughty didnt have value in v4 cant imagine it being any different now.
values constantly are changing, team needs constantly changing as youre aware. im in no hurry to go and "dump" players. team sucks, dont have assets. i can sit on these guys and get value if necessary.
the boeser thing i think comes down to most players questioning the contract. its why burns will be tough to move, its why EK will be tough to move, its why boeser will be tough to move, (for full value) they arent really reaching their contract in terms of production.

in those 4 years he missed a combined 89 games. but last 2 hes only missed 36. not really that terrible. although 32 of that was this year. i dont know the extent of his ailments this year. still very very productive.

If you're looking to dump EK or Burns in a deal, I would have interest in them as dumps.
Likely wouldn't go overboard in paying you for their services

not looking to dump. both still hold some sort of value. imo karlssons only 31... should still have some years in the league hes not a physical brute like others. you know?

There has now been enough votes for the vote above for a winner to be determined. The model that won was model #3 with 75% of the vote, which was the one with the most advantage to the underdogs. This model is made from 50% vote and 50% luck. This does not mean that the series are 50/50. The way it works is...
Let's say Montreal and Toronto are in a series and Montreal gets 60% of the vote. For the simulation there are 100 points up for grab and whoever gets the most wins that game. In this scenario Montreal would get 60% of the 50 points from vote (that's what the 50% vote means above). The other 50 points will be given away randomly. So Montreal would have 30 vote points and Toronto would have 20. As long as Toronto doesn't get 11 or more luck points than Montreal, Montreal will win that game. That process is repeated for each game until someone wins 4 games.
Thanks,
BOG

There is some unfortunate news regarding WAR and the scoring system. Due to a couple reasons WAR will be removed from the scoring calculation including this scoring period (FEB, 2/16-3/15). The reasons are:
1. WAR data is really behind around 7-10 days. This means that for scoring periods there will never be accurate data and they will be overlapping. This would also push playoffs back
2. Due to me not knowing that WAR was behind, the FEB WAR is actually half of JAN and all of FEB. This makes for a really messed up scoring calculation.
3. WAR is not a good stat for small sample sizes which is how this game is scored. Because the game is scored in monthly periods and WAR is designed to be a larger sample size form of analysis, it doesn't mesh well with our game.
4. It is extremely difficult and maybe even impossible for the WAR and GS to be weighed equally, due to WAR being a stat that loves negative numbers and GS having very little negatives.
I have gone back and removed WAR from the calculation of the standings for this past month and it will not be counted for the future. I will keep the player cards as mixed because as said above, WAR is great for big sample sizes which is what the player cards are. I'll do the same for the award races.
The standings have not changed that much so we as BOG don't think its that big a problem to remove it for FEB.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
BOG
