NYR Acquiring Eichel Scenario
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hockey101</b></div><div>How so? Up and coming 21 year old center. A proven center. One of the best touted young dmen in Sweden. A solid goalie who is still young. A depth center who is still 21...22.
Big stars with huge contracts have, historically, returned very little compared to that.</div></div>
I don't see how buffalo would give up all that stuff plus Eichel, I just don't see it happening imo

The avs say no because why would they give all that up for a guy with 1 1/2 good years and a not great contract. that is say too much to give up

avs this season backup goalie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15a</b></div><div>If EJ waives it’s for the XD not to trade him. Being ruthless the best thing that could maybe happen is he is LTIR and doesn’t play again and he gets a role with the team. Garland again nice player but 20% of his pts have come on the PP and he wouldn’t log nearly the time on the PP with the Avs he has with the Coyotes, and don’t forget Newhook is going to be with the Avs next season as well . I just don’t see it being a fit.</div></div>
I agree with the fit next season but if they were giving that much for one year I think they would keep him. also I think they should go for it all this year cause this is the best team they've had in a while

avs this season backup goalie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15a</b></div><div>Bernier yes. Garland no. They have to sign Makar, Grubauer, Landeskog, Jost, decide on trying to re-sign Saad, they don’t have the cap space to make it all work without having guys on ELC’s next year playing like Kaut, Byram, probably Bowers. Also knowing the cap is going to be flat for 3-4 more years that means MacKinnon has to be signed at the end of it. Don’t get me wrong Garland is a nice player but he hasn’t even had a 40pt season and where does he fit in COL?</div></div>
He has 25 pts so far this year, on a not great coyotes team, but yes they have to resign a lot this offseason but how much projected do they have and hopefully erik waves his nmc so we can get 6 mil off the books

That just isn't enough for Mrazek, they would need way more then him, but I think it would be a good choice but idk if he would want to be a backup.

Its not just trading Andersson I don't see the avs doing this, I would be great to give him up but the third line is playing really good and they wouldn't give up Donskoi imo and put nuke on the4th line

They don't really need him but he maybe nice since we know from last years playoffs that injuries can happen and if we do have him and he's on the third line for most of the year until playoffs and someone goes down with injury like they did last year he could slot in the top 6. Thats just what I think and that's my opinion

Bernier seems to be injury prone, otherwise he'd be a perfect puck up.</div></div>
I don't think the yotes are in a playoff spot, they will be sellers at deadline to help get more picks since they lost their first this year imo, I think ranta would be good for the avs but I'm not sure that'll happen since they in same division and play but who knows what will happen

They can send Francouz their way, a good backup and they can run with the starter that they have now.
Friedman made it sound as though Washington was looking to add goaltending (not subtract). Seems like some misread this and interpreted they are looking to move Samsonov. Not sure why. I wouldn't spend much time thinking about this one.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Byrr</b></div><div>I disagree with the Campbell trade. His 1.6 aav isn't really paying a backup too much and the stability he brings to the position will be valuable to the team next offseason when Freddy potentially leaves. If Campbell plays well again and allows the Leafs to go with a tandem it makes them much more flexible cap wise for Freddy's replacement. That alone is worth the 800,000 extra cap space for 1 season.</div></div>
True but I wonder why they signed Dell, in case of injuries maybe. Don't watch too many leafs games were goalies hurt last year a lot?
