Debrusk odd man out
Canes could be an option for DeBrusk…they are looking for help on the wings in the middle six.
Non-DeBrusk comment…why sign Hakanpaa and have Clifton be an extra. To me, Clifton would be a really good value 3RHD. Why over pay for another defender?

Danult loves MTL and he declined a 6x5aav, so I am not sure he would take the same money and one less year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>Do you really think Seattle would prefer Lauzon over Clifton?</div></div>
I would think so. Lauzon can play bigger minutes, against tougher competition and plays the PK. Clifton is a good 3rd pairing spark plug, but not a guy I'd say is locked into a spot if everyone is healthy.

Career goals per 82 GP
Debrusk 22.5
Garland 23.5
I realize he had a bad year, but he is still a very good young player under team control.
Pump the breaks on Garland. He is a good player, but so is Debrusk.
All of this after being on pace for 10goals last year

So you're telling me that you are gonna refuse to give 2 3rd rounders for a big physical player who also scored 15 goals in 50 games on the 3rd line with 2 under-performing linemates? No it's pretty realistic especially given that at least sutter would take him any time of the day. Maybe 2 3rd is a bit high though, maybe one needs to be a 4th or 5th

Depends, he kinda blocks Pelletier from coming up and there's no guarantee Brett resigns. Hes probably worth a 3rd but other teams may have more interest

A sign and trade isn’t common at all however it is common to extend a rental player after he’s traded and since you can’t stipulate a conditional pick we’d ask for more but clearly not as much as the condition would award. (Example we’d ask for a second as insurance over the conditional first). And I assumed it was signed shortly after trade due to extension in the trade description.

Nice payment, but it still might not work out simply because of Jenner's importance here as one of our only defensively competent centers.

Doubt the Oilers would trade Nurse but would something like this work?
Debrusk + Lauzon

Nurse</div></div>
I remember having to defend Nurse against Edmonton fans lol. DeBrusk for Nurse was a deal it seem like both fanbases agreed was fair to start the year, but ya I don't think they feel that way anymore lol.

I just don’t think they’re good trade partners. The things that buffalo would want the bruins aren’t willing to give up.
The only way i could see this happening is if its after eichels NMC kicks in, and he really limits buffalo’s options.

Forsberg Hall Savard
Don’t see much of a reason for Columbus to make that move. Kase would be a 3rd line wing for us at best and Savard has been our best defenseman and is our most value trade asset at the deadline. If anything Columbus would move Savard for a middle/top 6 center (adding a bit to Savard obviously) or for a B/C prospect (who’s exempt from expansion) and a 2nd. Not sure Boston would pay that price for a 3rd pair RHD, but someone (Toronto or Philly come to mind) might.

Thats fair I guess... i think they can beat WSH. TB is obviously the class of the league, but who knows. I think this upcoming offseason is really important. A couple guys on this team at the moment seem they may need a change of scenery... should be some solid UFAs as well.

Taylor Hall and Ekholm
I love the idea of Ekholm as the Bruins LD1. But if you trade for him this year, it means you’re losing Grzelcyk in the Expansion Draft or losing the assets needed to make a side deal with Seattle to protect Grzelcyk. The only way I trade for Ekholm this year is straight up for Grzelcyk. Otherwise I wait until the off-season. You may even be able to get him cheaper from Seattle if he’s exposed by Nashville and absolutely drafted. As an impending UFA after 2021-22, Seattle might be more interested in dealing him for long-term help or futures.

Both players were prospects at that time. Grundstrom, Bjork are probably close but Durzi is a good prospect. Bruins also need to give something to get rid of Moore. A B prospect (like Steen)+Bjork+1st pick but I wouldn't be surprised if NSH get better offers. They haven't decided to move him yet anyways so we'll see.
