Duby has been a top 15 goalie since we got him. The isles have suffered for years to find adequate goaltending. I don't think there would be any reason for the wild to trade duby outside of a full rebuild but I would ask for a 1st, brock nelson and ho-sang.

I think its a little bit of an overpayment if anything, but not by a ton if it's a sign and trade style deal

Do you seriously believe that Duby is worth less than a middle 1st....? With Grubauer worth a late 1st??? And that actually may be Grubs value but you're not even close to what Duby would be worth to a team that needs a goalie.

The guy is a superstar, the Blues should do what it takes to get him if he'll resign. Good idea to take Dubi back, but the trade starts with whichever they prefer out of Thomas and Kyrou, Fabbri and the 1st. No Berglund.

You're right, and the gaps between the value in the swaps is not at a Coyle or a 1st level.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>zdiamond1919</b></div><div>Kessel's shot is the only thing that gives him the label shooter. I always thought the same thing until I had the privilege of watching him play every night. He is an unbelievable playmaker with a gifted touch as a passer. That's why he works with Geno and not Sid. If I'm Minnesota I look at a line with him Parise (net driver) and Grandlund as a very scary thing. Plus having a RH shot on the power play that is littered with lefties isn't a bad thing either.</div></div>
Love the idea of him on the PP, and that point does make sense he definitely makes some ridiculous passes. Granlund isn't a center (offside RW primarily) so it would have to be staal coyle mikko(unless our dreams come true and we trade him) or erikkson ek. That or an aquisition. Still like the idea a lot.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>I would think that Minnesota is a player everywhere because of their depth at defense, which most teams need. So, if you got a little creative, and keep caps in mind, I am sure you could figure out a third team to make this all work. I actually think Minny and the Pens line up well, it's just a question of what the Wild are prepared to give up, if they are rebuilding, or if they are just going to reshuffle for another playoff attempt. The direction of this team is still very up in the air.</div></div>
Agreed. Im hoping a Boston style reshuffle. Need some more draft capital or young guys this year and next, I would think that would mean looking at moving guys like staal, granlund, nino, zucker, coyle. I like the D core but if Dumba could fetch something special or wants a ridiculous cap number move him too. Why do you say MN and PITT line up well?

Phil Kessel has a great contract, with term left on it. Considering how tough it is to come by offense, his 90+ points this season should provide the Pens with plenty of options, if they chose to trade him.</div></div>
As I said, I don't think the fit is there with a lack of a true distribute on MN's end outside of granlund who plays his position. I just did the reverse of another trade. If they did go for it a hockey trade makes more sense. Potentially even Granlund.

Just the reverse of the one a pens fan made. I agree MN may need to add but you're not getting a first or Coyle on top, maybe olofsson and a 3rd.

I'd want a little more for Spurgeon, but I don't know OTT's prospect pool that well. Maybe add a potential bottom-6 RHS FWD (that's not a midget)?
A Brodin/Ceci 2nd pair is something I wouldn't mind seeing. A Seeler/Ceci 2nd pair (if Suter isn't ready) should at least hold their own in the d-zone. I like the idea of the trade.</div></div>
I mean for point totals by a RHD he's been 18th, 17th, 26th and 33rd going back from this year. So offensively at least he qualifies, and in TOI he's been 11th, 11th, 19th, 19th so coaches believe he should play as much as a number 1. He's not your prototypical #1 or even #2 D but I think the numbers disagree w/ you offensively and in usage. Im sure there are numbers to counter these but pretty hard to say he's not any sort of #1 RHD

MN can absolutely get a lot more for both Staal and Brodin, Coyle one I am interested in if they can sign Anderson to a deal (he held out last fall) and Nino value seems fair, Skinner I would love but I think you need to add a bit to get him. Not sure why VAN does this but I would definitely take that for Foligno

I know you're not a spurge believer but this still feels a little on the low end. Not sure why Ottawa would do it if you asked for say another 2nd or a prospect but I feel like that's more of the price. You're downgrading on the right side quite a bit. If Fenton feels like he can't win with spurge in the playoffs that's fair but there are teams willing to pay more for a veteran 1b RHD .

One more attempt at The Bread Man
As a MN fan I feel like were robbing them unless bread absolutely says he will not resign with them. Even so they get two wings back they dont necessarily need and zero top picks or prospects. Id be thrilled but this feels off, and his extension feels about 3M low per year.

Yeah MN says no. You just traded Galch straight up for a player like Coyle, were not taking scraps like Des w/ average middle six prospects. Especially left handed wings which we couldn't need less.

Elite? 20 goals 60 points consistently makes a top 65 player in the league, elite is pretty generous. Not a great trade there but very good is as far as you can reasonably go for stone.

They would also move up about 55ish pics from the 5th to the 4th round. This trade isn't as lopsided as it looks at first.</div></div>
True, I misread the year on our first. If the guy they want may be there a couple picks down and they like Fasching, they'd probably do it

If zucker gets that amount of term it will be for a slight discount because of the stability it provides him and his family. Think 7x5M seems more in the ballpark. Dumba deal seems fine I just am not sure 3 years makes sense, bridge deal feels like it would be 2, long term at least 5 so 3 seems like an odd length.

Give Ek Koivu's ice time and I guarantee he puts up more points. He's going to be a stud, mark my words. I like Perlini, but not at the expense of trading Ek.
If I HAD to trade one of them, I would trade Kunin 100 times out of 100 times before I would trade Ek...but that's just me.</div></div>
Do you honestly feel we have seen Kunin enough to evaluate him? 4 pts in 19 games isnt exactly amazing but 16 in 75 for Ek doesn't amaze me either even if (as you said) some of that is due to restricted quality ice time.

ARI doesn't make sense at all, Ek didnt put up numbers but that is selling super low on a future piece
Love the FLA trade, trochek shouldn't be traded but if I were Fenton I would definitely give it a shot with this package. Plus Winnik and him are a little redundant.
Smith deal with OTT is fine but doesn't make sense to add more left handed shooting, not enough righties already

ANA/TOR/CAR/EDM trades
I agree with <a href="/users/Juice" target="_blank">@Juice</a> dumba would be MN's only chance at getting Nylander but I doubt they move him regardless. MN rightfully loves spurgeon as an undrafted guy they developed into one of the most underrated defensemen in the league but when you're underrated people won't pay a premium for you, which is the problem here. Dumba has a higher upside and if you're getting a potential #1 center he's who you're moving.
The ANA deal defintely wouldn't have had picks coming back MN's way, the EDM one is just silly and I really like the Nino deal if it could work cap wise with Dumba and Zucker. Seems like you're a little low on both for that term.

I think MN should pull that trigger. Feels like that triggers a rebuild and Leopold unfortunately doesn't believe that is necessary, but the value seems close. I would rather trade spurgeon for a smaller haul but for dumba this makes sense.
