We need two LD, one 2C, and one 2RW - nothing else.
Besides, both Bert and Yzerman has publically stated their intention to sign an extension this summer as soon as it's legally possible.</div></div>
Nah I heard Bert is getting fed up doesn't want to wait for the rebuild and has NJ at top of the list.

How you get a solid D prospect and a Smith who has a high ceiling you need help on the blue line..and a pick in one of the deepest drafts in years.

I think it gets done next season at the trade deadline after Smith increases his value. With question marks around russian players right now NJ lets Muk and Smith and a pick in a deep draft go for a solid right wing vet who doesn't need to be a top line guy.

I think it depends if NJ gives it to him or graves after this year . I see them keeping sieg, if anything i think a bigger question mark comes in for Ty Smith who underperformed this year.

They will have to overpay anyone to join this team tbh and i dont mind spending it on someone over 30 then johnny hockey who doesnt show up in the playoffs. This squad needs a mix of players who are hungry which they have and players who have been proven im the big moment.

Untouchable?? How many tenders have we seen have a short stint of solid play in regular season then hot in the playoffs and not continue it. Look at matt murray.. i see him resulting in the same you sign him to push blackwood . Who when healthy is better.

Beginning a Dynasty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pretzelcoatl</b></div><div>I'd like to know what numbers you saw that weren't bad. As a first round pick returning to the OHL he should be significantly above a point per game. I won't even begin to deconstruct your second point other than to say if that's what you're after Moynihan is a much better bet.
Your salary decisions are bizarre anyway. 2.75 for Hagelin to sit on the bench? 30 year old Drouin making 5m until he's 35 on the second line, with Mercer and Holtz on the third? Holtz still on an ELC? Slaf making 5.5 during his ELC? Bahl making 2.5 and on the top pair? Sorokin for 6.5? Vatrano? Where's Gritsyuk, he'd still be on an ELC. Unmitigated disaster all around.</div></div>
Damn my dude you acting like this is your job lol. I'm not a GM that's why I'm on here i don't crush nhl salary caps all day. I can def see Bahl on the top line with Ham, hes going to become a stay at home d man. Theres also this crazy idea that players move lines throughout the year, you need depth, what are you going to put Nico on the third line? Whats the problem with Vatrano, idk how much he'd go for but NJ could use him. He's exactly what they need a forechecking wing that can keep up with a fast paced team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pretzelcoatl</b></div><div>I've been playing for 15 years, thank you, and I think signing Gaudreau would be a mistake. It's not just some percentage online, it's the most advanced publicly available model that projects prospect potential. That said, you don't need a model to see that Stillman just doesn't project, his numbers are trash and from watching him play, the skill just isn't there. You can say whatever you want about motor and all that, but if he makes the team it will be at the cost of a more skilled, higher impact player.
Who knows, maybe I'm just salty that we wasted a first round pick on him when we could've had Raty or Stankoven. He profiles like a player who should be taken deep in the triple digits.</div></div>
The numbers i saw arent horrible. Plus for the fourth line id prefer a player of his style instead of a high impact player for the price he cost. Have to work with the salary too!
