Who would you want to protect in that list that would be worth giving up robertson a pick and one of the players on said list

why do you need to make a trade for them to take him
options at fwd: blackwell, gautier, howden, on def: its bitetto and thats it in goal: is kinkaid
exempt: laf, kakko, kravtsov, barron, fox, miller, shesterkin
protected: zib, krieder, panarin, chytil, lemieux, strome, beuchnevich; trouba, lindgren, i guess hejak,; georgiev

You saw his upside in the playoffs, he was a beast and had no off ice issues like seguin did at the time and zibanajed wasn't projected as a 1C and and a few down years prior to the trade. Pld is on the upside, it will cost you a top player or not worth it for them and they say no. They aren't rebuilding and don't want s bunch if picks and prospects. Kakko + chytyl + one of your many dmen gets it done like DeAngelo</div></div>
zib. was projected as a first line center coming off 46 and 51 point seasons at 22 years old no team is giving up there top prospect futures will definitely be involved and probably the majority of any trade realistically at best your looking at 1-2 top 100 prospects 1-2 b level prospects and 2 top picks with an nhl player to fil the void he leaves

He's a 55 point center who has to play top center minutes because who else will with ceiling as a top center. History shows no top players going back zib. Trade for example brussard and a late pick for him and a second seguin trade another example. Cbj is not going to get equal value its just not how these trades work

No way you are getting any teams top 3 prospects the rangers happen to have some quality within the quantity something like the 1st strome henrickson lundqvist and jones. Chytil I dont thi k is untouchable but I do think you cant give that many centers up laff kakko miller and kravtsov are probably your untouchables as far as young guys go

instead of having a center that you do not know what you might get they picked the most sure thing leaving some great RHD expendable to use in a draft for a legit center with some history of performing in the near future. we are stacked with prospects and not enough places to play them so they can use them for players they need in spots for the future. for example a top line center that is young. Not taking away from Zibanejad but we can have two legit top lines plus a young 3rd line that can grow together and a checking defensive forth line

So I figured this is what as the rangers you offer and see what they counter with but still being close slight upgrades but I dont want to lose jones or the picks but cbj has one of the weakest prospect systems so its more using that strength

i 100 percent agree thats why in the description i wrote.... It wont happen because islanders and rangers do not trade but i think it could work itir is the taxi squad and the rangers get a young player in otto who played well in the ahl last season to take on komarov islanders get a center who has disappointed in nyr organization

i cant either it looks like a good deal to me a top od (lundqvist) do not grow on trees and buch gives you 50ish points as a winger coupled with a center doing about the same equals 100ish points to 60ish not including prospects. its the upside im betting on here. i have a philosophy that if both fan bases say no its a good trade.

second attempt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>Just outta curiosity when did PLD become a franchise player? Looking at basic stats I see a 50-60 point center man that had a good playoffs this year, but is horrible at face offs... I get that he has potential to grow, etc; but if you are gonna use that argument the same thing can be said of Lundkvist, Jones and even Buch.. like PLD, stromes best season came alongside Panarin. I’m just scratching my head here. I wouldn’t trade lafreniere for PLD straight up, I could see kakko but not in such a large deal.. weird</div></div>
thats why kakko is not in the deal its buch strome lundqvist and jones buch opens a spot of kravtsov next year after the khl season and kakko takes 1st line duties while krieder takes 2nd line rw so laff can play with him and zibenejad. voronkov is a piece to make it more even. the idea here is we took zibenajad at 22 as a 50ish point player trying to do a similar deal here while signing him to a longer term to keep costs down in the future

fox and lindgren
plus robertson and schneider
with trouba and miller
that sounds like 3 solid lines with robertson and schneider probably 2 years away another in the chl and one or two together in the ahl they would be 22 and 21 respectably and a decent sheltered 3rd paring at first with lundqvist who i think will be the best on offense being on his last year of elc to maybe flip for a promising young forward of need thats what this post is about he would have to years in the nhl to show what he can do. doubt we could get out from troubas contract otherwise he would be the piece moved but who knows

I saw him as a solid 3rd liner with attitude however u being a wings fan u have a better understanding of him. Then again he reminds me of wilson from wsh who with great linemates puts of 40ish points either way they are worth more to a team then just point totals which is y i would try to snag him early hence this proposal

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Seider53</b></div><div>Thats the challenge of involving prospects and/or goalies on this site. Valuing them is really hard, and there isn't a precedent. You can look to the past for trades where picks are leveraged for almost anything. In this case Wings fans will know Grewe as a rat **** to play against, that needs some ice time to thrive, Rangers fans will see a disappointing stint in the SHL (likely without the context of ice time, 3-4 min per game) and working out value becomes very hard. Its a limitation of fans discussing trades.</div></div>
Exactly see i like grewe im a rangers fan but i think hes the type of player that could be a solid bottom 6 fwd who has a knack for getting under someones skin drawing penalties and being overall a solid player

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Seider53</b></div><div>Inspite of above people saying the wings deal is bad for the Rangers. I don't like it from a RedWings perspective. Grewe is a super intruiging prospect, who is coming to Saginaw next year, as he was getting screwed for ice time in the SHL. He's potentially a great prospect, but for that reason his value is at an all time low. Crawley was playing in the coast last year, not sure why he's included, doesn't seem like he has any value.
So its basically Georgiev and Smith for Grewe. You should probably keep Georgiev, just package up different assets to get rid of Smith. Couple picks/prospects. (before anyone tries to argue he has value to Detroit as a D, nope, we know exactly what he is, and given that he was playing forward on your 4th line at times, so do the Rangers.)</div></div>
See I figured it was closer then everyone is complaining about smith is a horrible contract but its one year i figured it would need more on the rangers side not the otherway around but i guess if both sides dont think its enough then its a viable deal
