Neither team does it, Columbus isn't trading PLD and the Rangers aren't giving up those pieces for him.

Pretty easy Rangers decline. Your first attempt wasn't that far off. Lundkvist has a ridiculously high value. This isn't a bad framework though. Just drop Buch/Voronkov.

No, that’s still quite always off anything Columbus would accept. We have no interest in adding defenseman, and the trade is centered around a 1st line center for a top RHD prospect. There’s very little to no interest in making this trade from a Columbus stand point as a team needing more offense isn’t trading one of their best forwards for a top defensive prospect.

Are u kidding? Lundkvist has number 2-3 potential while PLD is a top line center. This is god awful for CLB

Lets go to the hockey player exchange to see what we can find.
Oh look! I can't believe it. On aisle 7 there is a PLD, why don't we buy him???
(leaving the exchange)...What a deal, you know #1 centers don't grow on trees, what with the flat cap and so few of them, they are usually none to be found.
That and the fact that they have to be imported from the far of land of Centervillus Elitus, and that is very expensive to import them nowadays...you know, with all of the tariffs and taxes and stuff like that.

I mean I don't think there's any way Jarmo would trade PLD regardless so it's a moot point.

Just outta curiosity when did PLD become a franchise player? Looking at basic stats I see a 50-60 point center man that had a good playoffs this year, but is horrible at face offs... I get that he has potential to grow, etc; but if you are gonna use that argument the same thing can be said of Lundkvist, Jones and even Buch.. like PLD, stromes best season came alongside Panarin. I’m just scratching my head here. I wouldn’t trade lafreniere for PLD straight up, I could see kakko but not in such a large deal.. weird

thats why kakko is not in the deal its buch strome lundqvist and jones buch opens a spot of kravtsov next year after the khl season and kakko takes 1st line duties while krieder takes 2nd line rw so laff can play with him and zibenejad. voronkov is a piece to make it more even. the idea here is we took zibenajad at 22 as a 50ish point player trying to do a similar deal here while signing him to a longer term to keep costs down in the future

i cant either it looks like a good deal to me a top od (lundqvist) do not grow on trees and buch gives you 50ish points as a winger coupled with a center doing about the same equals 100ish points to 60ish not including prospects. its the upside im betting on here. i have a philosophy that if both fan bases say no its a good trade.
