Love the Demidov pick. I doubt the rest of that happens, though. Mostly the Draisaitl signing. Then again, 5 years isn't as big of a commitment as 8.

Next Year
lol. I was literally just building an ACGM with almost the same exact proposals. I don't think this is too much at all, though. Something like this coincides with what KD has stated in his exit interview about improving the team, while still maintaining some of the more important guidelines he has laid out for the rebuild over the last two years.
Aside from Pesce (which is far too much salary and term, imo) you have brought in some veteran players on short term deals, made the NHL club more competitive, created roster competition for the young guys who may or may not need more development time in the AHL (and are still waiver exempt and shouldn't just be handed roster spots), and brings in more/higher-quality draft capital. All while bringing in more guys who are not injury prone, and who, presumably, are only worried about themselves and their next contracts. They are all guys who can motivate a locker room, take orders and play within a system, and are great team first guys, aside from maybe Mikheyev.
I think as far as Mikheyev goes, though, I would rather just re-sign Anderson. We don't NEED the extra 2nd round pick and Anderson has been fantastic. And for Pesce, I think for $6.5 x 5, we can probably do better than him, or just do something shorter term. Not that he isn't serviceable, but he has shown signs of decline and 5 years is a long time, especially for that amount. That contract has some potential to look pretty bad pretty quickly.

Come on. This isn't bad. haha. I think with just the two additions of Marchessault and Tanev, CHI would immediately be a better team. Not a playoff team. But not too shabby either.

Like the UFA signings. And of course getting Macklin. Not sure having 2 rookies on the 2nd line is a great idea. But yeah, 5his lineup should be better.

I agree with most of these too. Probably would have put AA as not enough if we're talking just this year's performance. Really pretty disappointed with TRad. I had a lot of hopes for him. Hopefully he finds his place.

I agree with most of these...the only thing I will say is that Reichel has looked quite a bit better since returning from the AHL. Hopefully he can continue to build on that next year.

Hey, Garak and newman23 - thanks for this ACGM and your thoughts. I, too, am excited to see how Frank does.
Garak, can you expand on your thoughts as to why you think Frank wasn't a fit at Michigan? I certainly did notice he excelled in the World Juniors - became a fantastic assist machine there - playing with really good players. Would it be fair to say that his talents were wasted a bit in college; that average players just can't "keep up" with what's possible with him, while superior players can not only "see" what he's gonna do for them but can capitalize on what he does? If that's true, he could make a better pro than college player, yes?
Regarding his contract; i.e., that it took hold IMMEDIATELY and he's burning his first year now... IMO, the Hawks are sending a message to all their prospects: we're gonna give you a shot and not seek to hold you back on earnings. If you perform at a high level, we'll reward you sooner rather than later.
Last, if he's THAT good (including adjusting to the pro game as well as Slaggert seems to have), then the rebuild is really ON. Gonna be great to watch the Hawks grow from here!
Exciting times, indeed.

I'm a BU fan so I've loved Commesso for a while so probably some bias there.
Nonetheless if fans are still gonna be super high on Knight then ill be high on Commesso too
Also, the Hawks have gotten the most out of Mrazek and I think they'll be able to coach him the same way. And id agree Nazar, Moore, and Rinzel are more NHL regulars. My grading scale includes goalies which is flawed so they're all really high. Need to fix that but I do believe he is a top 10 goalie prospect

He's been skating for about a month already. And from the video I've seen he looks pretty good already. I doubt he will be sidelined until December. Also, like others have said, CHI will likely be trying to get positive value for him at next years deadline. Making a swap like this would just be giving him away.

No reason for either team to do that deal. Colorado can move a different player to fit in Mittelstadt or they would get a better offer for Lehkonen
Hall will have more value to Chicago than taking on Price’s contract would. Worst case is they can move him as a rental at the deadline or just keep him

My take on the Sens situation
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>
It's a risk but it could pay big time since you're not paying much (Reichel lost a lot of value and a 3rd round pick is not much for a player of Norris caliber). Tarasenko is also a guy who had 3 shoulder surgeries</div></div>
Last year (adjusted for an entire season) Reichel would have been a 50 point guy. He also looked lights out in preseason games but lost confidence when the season started. At 21 I'm not willing to give up on him yet and I think trading him along with a 3rd for an injury prone overpaid guy is definitely a sign that someone's given up on him. I could be wrong and Norris could turn things around health wise. That's not a gamble I'd be willing to take though.

Same. Might as well hope that he regains his form or LTIR him. Unless they can sign a big fish and need to move his salary</div></div>
Which is why the Hawks aren't going to sell low on Reichel. He's had a bad year despite looking much better since just getting called back up, but they aren't going to give up on him after his first NHL year and having trouble adjusting to the NHL.

Rather keep Korchinski and use #5 overall on Catton, Demidov or Lindstrom - whoever is still on the board. Might even take Eiserman there. Leshevnov is the only RD who is top 5 worthy IMO.

I could see the hawks starting Korch in the NHL, if he hasn't improved considerably putting him in the AHL for a month or two to learn the more physical pace, but a whole year is probably counterintuitive.

That's pretty close to the lineup as.I would predict.
Only difference is the Leafs need a veteran goalie with Woll next season, not Hildeby.
Not saying it's Roy (unlikely) or Dillon but as you shown, Leafs do have about 10m in cap to spend on two or three Dmen.
