deadline deals for Duchane Stone Dzingel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>Decent start to a lengthy rebuild?
Usually, teams don't "start to a lengthy rebuild" with those assets in the bank :
Stone (26) : extended or is traded for more futures
Duchene (28) : extended or is traded for more futures
Batherson (20)
Brown (20)
Tkachuk (19)
Dzingel (26) : extended or is traded for more futures
White (22)
Norris (19)
Balcers (21)
Chlapik (21)
Formenton (18)
Crookshank (19)
Tierney (24)
Pageau (26)
Paul (23)
Gruden (18)
Luchuk (21)
Beaudin (21)
Klimchuk (23)
Nurmi (20)
Kelly (19)
Sturtz (24)
Loheit (18)
The defense is where they should look to add however some of JBD, Wolanin and Tychonick could be hits :
Chabot (22)
Bernard-Docker (18)
Wolanin (23)
Jaros (22)
Tychonick (18)
Lajoie (21)
Ceci (25) : extended or is traded for more futures
DeMelo (25)
Harpur (24)
Englund (23)
Goaltending is finally looking promising :
Nilsson (28)
Gustavsson (20)
Daccord (22)
Hogberg (24)
Mandolese (18)
Hollett (19)</div></div>
I think you're really banking on a lot of younger prospects all panning out, adding 4 top 62 picks, a couple A-/B+ prospects and a solid top 9 forward is decent. You certainly know more about the Sens system than I do, but assuming all prospects will turn into productive NHLers is a dangerous game. Thanks for the reply!

you understand that these deals will take place after teams understand the Sens wont be able to resign them right

Good player, the amount hes moved around kinda scares me. Also a RHD which MTL is stocked with. Also thinks that would take Tatar++ and i dont think the habs want to trade young pieces

I agree they should be. He's good but i don't love the idea of giving him a long term deal next offseason at 30, Id much rather gather assets, you probably could get more for Tatar tho

Fleury is 2 years older and hes shown far less offensive capability. they would want to trade for the defenceman that hovered around ppg last few years of junior and has produced in the AHL

They show that he has offensive ability, Tatar has been great for the Habs but he is having a career year. Selling high on older assets for younger ones is advantageous. Especially considering the amount of young forwards the Habs have in the system, and lack of LHD they have.

We are giving them a 1st + 2nd + 3rd and taking on a contract where the player can't even hang in the AHL.</div></div>
I just checked his AHL stats before and he has pretty good offensive stats in the AHL

Id probably keep Ozhiganov over giving Kronwall a deal that pricey, hes slow and doesnt fit great with how the Leafs play. I also think they'd be better to try to bundle Horton with a pick or two and get rid of his contract entirely and keep Marleau, good trades though!

I do watch the games, im a Habs fan. But his inability to finish these chances is what scares me, if he can youre right, he will be a steal at 4.5.

Montreal is still in the process of stockpiling picks and prospects in my opinion. But i think the value for Simmons is accurate, hes a great player. Probably just to a different team

What exactly does montreal gain here? Anisimov had a terrible year, not to mention losing the better goalie prospect. Duclair is a bottom 6 forward, hard no from the Habs.

it clearly said in the explanation deals like this dont take place, just saying this money could work for a shot at the cup. it would never happen, just interesting to see what they could add to stay under lol

It's a nice thought, but i highly doubt Tavares, in his prime, would go to montreal in the midst of a rebuild/retool. Would be amazing if he did though!
