Realistically how much do we have to add
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens_Fan71</b></div><div>I’d say add one of our goalies so Nashville has an NHL level goalie while Askarov develops. Both firsts this year and maybe our first next year assuming Saros extends with us.</div></div>
As a Preds fan, I'd rather re-sign Lankinen in this scenario, instead of taking Forsberg or Korpisalo.

You could, but so many Leaf fans just prefer to ignore it.

Win win Trade For both
I feel like Ottawa still wants to improve their Defense as their top 9 is pretty good

Zub, Artem ($1,250,000 retained)
OTT
Puljujärvi, Jesse
Barrie, Tyson
Please explain the logic for Ottawa to consider this deal. Ottawa doesn’t have room for another forward that makes more than $2MM, and Zub is a better D than Barrie, for considerably less cap hit.

Les Sens
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens_Fan71</b></div><div>You're right about Laf. That's my mistake. I am editing that to fix it. I don't know about Lehner. You might be right. He will want a starters job which Ottawa can offer him. He gets term and a salary that he's worth. We shall see I guess.</div></div>
The thing with Lehner is that he's going to be able to punch his ticket and go where he wants, and he's going to have more appealing offers than Ottawa.
Also I think Ottawa should be comfortable with their current tandem. Hogberg is a promising future option, and Nilsson is a great Stopgap starter and mentor for Hog.

Les Sens
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens_Fan71</b></div><div>I feel like having Hogberg split with Nilsson might keep the seat warm for someone to eventually seize the number one job. Assuming Lehner would take that offer you have your goalie for the next 6 years. You land a #1C in the draft and you can have a core with Chabot and Tkachuk. You know what you're getting with Lehner, He's proven he can start in this league. Hogberg, Gustavsson and Daccord and Sogard are prospects who have to actually develop. It might be a few years yet until one of these guys truly cements themselves as the starter. Maybe you sign Lehner shorter term and he would serve as a role model for these kids. Food for thought anyways.</div></div>
Just feels like the same thing the Oilers did a few years ago, had a rebuild going rushed it.. and then had a lack of depth and prospects/pieces to complement their core,
would prob be best to wait till 2020 picks come to the NHL in 1-2 season's or so... then start going win now
Obviously not the same situation, but comparable

Best team in the league in 2021-2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens_Fan71</b></div><div>As a Senators fan I love this team! I would absolutely sign Lehner and Pietrangelo. They're studs and we have the cap room for it. I don't know if they would actually want to sign in Ottawa though. If Vancouver does that trade I'd be very shocked (and happy). The Duclair and Brown deals appear reasonable. If all these ducks fell in order I'd be very stoked to watch this team. GO SENS GO!</div></div>
That Boeser trade is a lot to give up tho. Thomson was 19th overall last year and the Isles 1st could be 13-20 this year. Plus White had a bad year but I don’t see him repeating. He’s still a young middle 6 with upside kind of like Dvorak and Dylan Strome
