Trying to keep things realistic
Yes, because PIT doesn't have a 2. But The Blackhawks are in a deep rebuild. They're not going to move TWO 2nds to move up 5 spots. I could see a mid/late 2nd being the cost of going from 19 to 14. That's only should they have a guy at 14 they like. Not like this is a 5-10 spot pick.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wadejos123</b></div><div>Zero chance we give the 9th pick and more for sorokin. If the hawks wanted a goalie they can just take Askarov who is suppose to be better anyways. Also, Tampa trade makes no sense. Tampa needs to shed salary not add to it. Hall won't sign for that cheap and as a rebuilding team the hawks don't need to sign him anyways. Crow will cost more but you already mentioned that obviously. Don't want Buf back would rather let Carlson or Beaudan play. And finally, shaw is probably going to retire because of the concussions.</div></div>
Does Askarov start on day 1 of 2020 season? Good point re:TB. just a pipe dream there because I love Coleman. Hall won’t cost much more. Hasn’t exactly lit it up this year, and we aren’t necessarily rebuilding, more of a retool. Toews would finally get a #1LW. I’d rather give Carlsson and beaudin a yr in the A. Buf for a yr hurts nothing, and is an upgrade over seeler/Gilbert/koekkoek in both zones. With the way I built this, Shaw can retire if needed and others can slide right in. Really glad Bowman moved a 2nd for him.

@NickC I'm not sure i agree. BEtween Clarkson & Crawford $11M comes off the books when Debrincat & Strome need to get paid. Haula can be moved. Toews wouldn't be 3C - that's just where i put him on the lienup. Pavelsku put up 40 goals last year on a Sharks team devoid of superstars (Karlsson sure didnt play like one) I'm not sure 7m is overpaying.

Don't mind him. He's a buffoon who has been trolling every Blackhawks related thread or Armchair GM tonight. From a fair standpoint, i don't think that would be enough to get Kane. A fun concept though!

@Ldubs. Ya, that's a thoughtful and intelligent post!
MTL: has cap $, needs C help, player familiarity w Anisimov (who mind you only has a few years left, and can be non-protected and used for expansion draft) , MTL has trade history w/ Chi, Gets a prospect and a pick, and Bergevin makes Loopy trades frequently.
Panarin and his agent have already said they are interested in a return to CHI. Duchene good friends w/ Toews. You have absolutely no idea what you're arguing.. Glad you say "no" though. Might as well pack up our bags and head home! LDubs is in the know, and said its not happening.
Sikura, still an unknown, speed, hands, good hockey sense, would absolutely get a chance to play on the top line, prove himself, and showcase what he is for the team..... I'm sure you know the 1st line RW spot so far this year has been a 3 player rotation of 1st Kunitz, 2nd Kahun, and now Perlini......
What a moronic and uneducated response. You haven't a clue what you're you talking about

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nowayallthesenamesaretaken23</b></div><div>Thanks, Do you even think I’m close on the Tevo, TVR trade or completely far off</div></div>
I think way off, unfortunately. It would cost a SIGNIFICANT anount to get TT back in CHI. The cost of poor management, sadly. CAR is young, fast, skilled, and finally icing a product to compete. They are no longer a gutter-dweller or a place to send bad contracts, and misfit toys. To be honest, I doubt CAR would even accept a 1st and 2nd to take on Seabrooks massive contract at all, let alone send back anything of value.

Couple things of note. i Think you meant to re-sign Dylan Sikura, not his brother Tyler.
I highly doubt CAR makes that trade, even with 1st and 2nd, I don't that's enough to move Seabrook contract, let alone TVR + Tuevo back, sadly.
I also think you may be about $1M shy of the minimum for a Panarin return, even with a discount sign.
I question the Kruger signing, he has expired in his value, never sees ice time currently, and is $2m too much annually as is, let alone a 3 year extension taking him well into his 30s.
I think we are 2 years away from seeing Altybarmakyan making his way to NA minimum.
I like the Murphy trade. Clears important space.

Pax to Pitt, Hag to Chi
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJSHabs</b></div><div>Maybe this isn't enough, butI thought Boqvist was the top defensive prospect? Also, I may be wrong but Hagelin at 2M is not trash, nor is Schlemko at 1M, especially for a cap-strapped team paying their Mid-6 centres (Toews and Anisimov) 15M.</div></div>
in CHI D prospect system, in all honesty it probably goes;
1. Jokiharju 2. Boqvist, 3. Beaudin, 4. Mitchell, 5. Krys.
regardless, Schlemko is a 5/6 Dman AT best and the Blackhawks have about 4 too many of them as it is. Hagelin brings nothing to the lineup except speed up the wing, but wouldn't crack the top 6, the bottom 6 in CHI is full of young players they have drafted and want to develop. the trade, as a whole just doesnt help CHi in any way.

Have to agree with the other posters here, that is a horrible trade for CHI. even WITHOUT Beaudin that trade does NOTHING for Chicago.

Sadly, my friend i think it's going to take MUCH more than Anisimov to move Seabrook, and there's little-to-no chance Hawks get anything of value in return. Certainly not a top prospect. Something like Seabrook, a 1st, and a middle grade prospect might have to go the other way just to dump his albatross of a contract. Anything of value (ie below a 3rd round pick) would be a bonus.

2018-19 Blackhawks DREAM ON BABY!
Ok se here's where i disagree. On no planet will Melnyk re-sign Stone for anything above decent money. He's already letting Karlsson walk, and trying to sell the team. Maybe bump up his AAV to 6, but the thing is, he's an RFA, he doesn't want to be back in OTT while they start their rebuild. I would be very willing to bet you his RFA rights would be easily acquired for a very early 2nd round pick. Then being around Kane, Toews, Saad, etc he could be had for cheaper than open market value, because they would be competing for a cup and again.... He's not on the open market.. he's Restricted.
