Boston is actually really good
Miller and McQuaid started tonight... Carlo was the scratch... that said we're down 3-1 at the end of the 2nd to the bottom feeding Buffalo Sabers and they don't even have Eichel, so I don't know how "good" we are going to be... If we drop this one it will be 2 in a row... I'll save my reservation on calling this new team "good" until we put in a 10 game stretch; I'm skeptical...

Also, Postma was waived so probably send him down. If Krejci-Nash-DeBrusk doesn’t work out it can be Marchand-Bergeron-Nash on the first and Pasta-Krejci-DeBrusk

a few things are wrong here. Anders Bjork is out 6 months so you can take him out. I personally dont think gionta gets a regular spot either. The 4th line as it is right now is playing very well together. You can leave it as it is but in the long run, Kevan miller is just flat out better than McQuaid and will be in the line-up over him

Don't think you need Cullen now if u have brassard considering you'd just scratch him. Maybe he could play wing, though.

Trying to win it this year with everything they got.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>Orpik isn't better than Slavin this year, but he brings grit and playoff experience, and Carolina's other left D are good enough to eat up the difference of two minutes between them.
Johansen, in two years, will be better than Slavin, and the Caps will kick themselves of this deal... except that it gives them cap space to add Domi and Nash, and get to the Conference finals with that much more toughness and scoring ability on the wings, and Slavin will still be a steady, defense first guy who gets the puck up the ice--the kind of guy all teams covet, and Caps fans boo out of town.</div></div>
Orpik has never been better than Slavin in any years. Ever. The issue is you're the only one that thinks Orpik's "grit and playoff experience" means anything. It doesn't. At all. Especially to an organization like Carolina. They are one of the best teams at paying attention to possession and analytics. They can see through any bull crap to try to sell Orpik to them. If you want to sell Orpik you have to go to a dumb team that will look at that "grit" and think it's actually useful. VAN and EDM come to mind, though I think EDM has a crap ton of LHD already.

orpik has negative value and if you wanna get rid of him you have to pay. and lucas johansen is not enough. Slavin's price would start from 1st++

Where do you think Montreal gets Value from the trade? Backstrom + Orpik will really only get you Galchenyuk + 1st. Your not touching Gallagher or Juulsen for that Price

Possibly if Price can stay healthy enough, And that's a big if. If Price goes down so does the Habs.

You should outsource the goaltending though. Vancouver? Luongo, Schneider, Miller, Lack?

Sam Bennet: Your Top-2 Center Comment and Rate!
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>alexgoodyear</b></div><div>"Bennet the Bust" ?? are you kidding me?? what are you basing this of of? He has just as many points as patioretty did at his age and has great offensive upside</div></div>
agree. he's 21. we tend to think that if a top 5 draft pick isn't putting up 70 points by the time he's 20, he's a bust. thats just not true. he has mad skills. crazy skills. scouts loved him. you just need to be patient with him. and i think it'll do him better off on another team, as calgary's depth down the middle is very good with monahan, backlund and jankowski. he needs an opportunity to prove him self. he's only 21. come on. i just watched a calgary game a few days back, and the plays he was making. oh man. he looked like a top 6 center. he just needs time

sam bennet is actaully a very good player to target. though mtl shouldnt add in that trade, and calgary should give only a 2nd or 1st rd pick

karlsson fair value?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vinniletieri</b></div><div>its so hard to gauge a player like thats value. some people will think its an overpayment, some will think its an under, some will think its just right. I guess we have to wait and see what ends up happening with this situation. a karlsson trade is probably the most difficult realistic trade to put a value on</div></div>
it is for sure but his declaration of going to the highest bidder as UFA took away a lot of potential suitors sadly.
everyone wants a RD for top pair but really on about 2-3 teams have the depth to gamble he wont re-sign
TBL has the hands down best shot because Karlsson would get to reunite with Hedman which i believe makes him want to stay in TBL organization.
after he made his Statement OTT lost a lot of their Leverage in negotiating with non playoff teams as they wont get their use out of him in that time frame

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LilAdriel</b></div><div>It’s gonna take a lot more than that especially if you’re making them take Callahan</div></div>
he 100% is going UFA already been declared he's going to the highest bidder
if anything given his age and term this is overpaying in Context unless he agree's to sign with TBL for 9m or less there is no chance he can re-sign in TBL
