Exploring A Skinner Buyout
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>gonna have to do a little better for buch</div></div>
Unprotected buffalo 1st would be cool but yeah if they loaded up like this roster I think there's no way of Sabre-ing away the season. So then that pick is late, and Samuelsson is a pretty big question mark considering the contract. I think Blues could do better.

Trade Faulk
With a full NTC you are going to have to wrap your head around getting a Ryan McDonagh level return for Faulk. That would be far less than Helleson and a 2nd from the Ducks.

Utah
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>I mean SLC has 200k Phoenix has 1.6 million
Utah has 3.3 million people Arizona has 7.8 million
Yes it is much much much smaller</div></div>
while that is true, the arena was in the middle of nowhere so no one went to games, and phoenix area isn't exactly a hockey town.
SLC is surrounded by winter sports. Some of the best skiing in the country is there so it's not out of the blue to think those people are hockey fans.
There is also more than 200k people in SLS. It's like 1.3 million surrounding area. Given phoenix is about 4.7.
But you got to have those people go and watch. It's hard to say the yotes ever accomplished that.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>Boys say no, boston simply doesn’t have the pieces to get Thomas or even come close</div></div>
Key statement missing “that they’d trade.”
I like Robert Thomas, but he’s not even within sniffing distance of Pastrnak as a player. I’d suggest that McAvoy is better as well though positional differences are kind of difficult.
That said, no reason for the Blues to trade Thomas. Hes a very good young player locked into a good contract

MTL doesn't need to dump salary cap and EDM will likely just buyout Campbell this summer (or else they would had dumped him already)

He has 3 years left on his contract going into his next season, maybe at some point within the next 3 years they might have to dump it, but as of right now they don’t need to

He's still only 18 years old and probably hasn't even grown into his body yet. I am hoping the Blues let him develop in the AHL for at least most of the season.

Idk about Skeji I’ve gotten him in my acgms but I’m not convinced. I’d rather trade for an LD and sign someone like Roy</div></div>
This is 2 years from now so snuggs will be up
lindstein is def questionable to be up so i agree with that
i feel scotty may get a slight raise prolly around 1.25-1.5
Skjei is good but i didnt know which big name dman to sign

At the start of the season? Possible, but I wouldn't put it over 50/50 right now. And I certainly would not say he's ready for 2C. I think a lot of it will rely on how fast his summer skating work pays off. If he comes to camp having made a Neighbours type leap, then his chances increase greatly.
As the season goes along, yeah, he'll probably be up at some point.

No More Meatballs
There's probably a timeline where the Blues accept Samuelsson in a Buch package. I highly doubt Rosen would be of much interest. Buffalo absolutely has the goods to get Buch. Honestly, they could probably pit together five or six acceptable offers with all the young talent they have at the right positions and/or with the right attributes.
Long story short, we'd need to alter the contents of the package here, but there's a lot of ways to do it. Up to and including a swap of 24 1sts.

Ordinarily, judging from your ideas, I would say you're not really a Blues fan. However, I know so so many Blues fans and this totally tracks as the sort of cartoonishly horrid ideas they put forth.
So you may be or you may not be, but this is just performatively stupid either way.

I agree, i meant trade ROR to draft a prospect with the pick.

Don't see why we're paying Boston take Hayes, a 5th doesn't even cover the retention. Hard pass on trading Buch for Chych. Don't really see a need for the last one. I'd rather spend 2nds to move up this summer, even if ET is a nice winger to have.

2nd best block shooter of the league is a thing for me tho ;) and it is not a bad metric at all. Block shooter tend to have worst defensive metric due to overutilization in d-zone, not because they're bad!
