Description
Cap is projected for 83Mil Next Year.

I feel like with the Resurgence of Heinen that gets him a spot on the second line this year.

I decided to re-sign Johansson because I feel as though he could be a good fit on the third line with JFK and Coyle.

  1. Backes, David
Additional Details:
Trading Backes would obviously clear up a lot of cap. I could see him going to Ottawa because he would be a top player on their roster. They don't have much and Backes would help them out. He'll give some veteran leadership to the core of young guys.

Add two million to the mcavoy deal, and figure out something reasonable to do with backes (that Ottawa trade would never happen for a ton of reasons) and this looks okay. I still think Studnicka is for sure on the roster though

Better chance of winning the Powerball than Backes waiving for Ottawa. His career is coming to an end, he wants his name on the Cup just like every other player who has not done it yet. With 2 years left the Sens are a death sentence. He’d waive for a contender, StL, or Minny. You can forget Western Canada, Ottawa, Arizona, New Jersey.

Forget if he waives or not you can't get 2 picks for him you have to give assets to get him off the roster. Ottawa is a rebuild they will only take him if you pay
