dylan strome has been just as good as Karlsson (arguably better) this year with the Hawks. Why would they give him up along with Perlini + picks (including a lottery 1st rounder) for a downgrade?

Detroit says no thank you. I don't know if I would trade the 7th rd pick for Hula definitely not a 2nd as well.

That Chicago trade is laughable. Strome has been just as good as Karlsson and comes at a substantial cap discount for next year. I did a trade that included Strome and Perlini for Karlsson and mentioned this heavily favors Vegas based on similar production between Strome and Karlsson but in consideration of the cap hit differences.
