Decent idea, I don’t think Zacha ever becomes what Pulijarvi likely becomes in New Jersey but atleast it helps in the short term and gives both guys a fresh start

As a Devils fan, it's not as much of a slam dunk as you might think. Zacha has been disappointing, but has definitely been progressing (albeit slowly). He is also a fantastic penalty killer. Puljujarvi certainly has a high ceiling, but has shown no signs of putting it all together. This trade could definitely still happen, but it is not as obvious for the Devils as everyone thinks.

I've posted about this in the past. In makes sense but I think both teams would rather give their player 1 more year to develop before moving on from them.
