Barre-Boulet was AHL rookie of the year this season so I would assume every team would have some interest but I get he chose not to sign with the Habs last offseason so same deal applies just swap out another good prospect.

What's your reasoning behind the Carolina deal? Odd man out with the Canes, figured the Habs could take a chance on a former top 10 pick who's good in his own end.

I disagree. I think this is a very fair, realistic MTL offseason of "sticking with the plan" and not doing anything drastic. every move you made was fair for both teams, and very realistic. well done

Barre-Goulet have a bad attitude, bad reputation off ice. You know when you are young and going out during week-end, sometimes you dont think with your head. I'll not roast him, but MTL were not interest because they know how he is. It's not only on the ice, but outside the ice too. I think a good prospect & a 2nd round pick too much for Fleury
