Description
So a few leaf fans including myself have been calling for changes to the coaching staff. Now i truly think it should be to the special teams coaches but it truly seems to be the case that Babcock in his Stubbornness still seems to think the leafs getting eliminated has 0% to do with him or his game plan. If this is truly how he feels and is tells Dubas and Shanahan the same maybe it's time for him and leafs to move on. If this happens is our AHL coach Sheldon Keefe the ideal replacement? In my opinion he is. When you look at his body of work over 4 years and more importantly how he has adapted to the injuries and trades that completely weakened his roster this year and still is beating teams with far greater natural talant i truly think he is the best coach for the leafs if Babcock refuses to accept his part in the issues the leafs had in the playoffs and isn't willing to adapt more to the new NHL. Also, if it very telling that the players are not really going to bat for Babcock right now but for their teammates.

That Edmonton trade is disgustingly bad. If we are trading Nylander to Edmonton, start with Bouchard.

Also I believe he is NHL ready.

I was looking at more but my thought process was Laarson is a sound Top 4 RHD which costs more that LHD and Kassian is a more physical Brown. I could see it being a 2nd this year and a conditional 1st next year based off if Nylander finds his game again which i have adjusted for. But the post is more about Keefe. What do you think about him?

I don't think Edmonton will ever trade Larsson because they traded Taylor fricking hall for him. So unless someone severely overpays for Larsson they'll just stick with him.

I could see that if Cherrelli was still there but i think the Oilers know he servrely overpaid for Larsson and if they can get A skilled winger for McDavid and open roster spots for Bouchard and A Gardiner or Karlsson type puck moving dman i think they might look at it.

Still bad trade.. but thats not important. Keefe? Modern style NHL coach who can utilize and recognise who is great and who is not great and he would get the best out of almost everybody. His defensive system is much better than what we had this year and past years. More of a skating mobile defence core rather than waiting on opponent. His Dmen drive play from back end and all 5 players on ice go back, even more offensive ones.
