Leafs gag on that overpayment for one year of Faulk. So in effective you have traded Zaitsev, Johnsson, Hollawell a first and third for one year of Faulk. Keep Zaitsev. As suggested above, way too much for Kapanen. Maybe if the pick was in the mid 20s, but not the rebuilding Wings pick.

He is a your 20 plus goal scorer that fits into the new
NHL , unfortunately the leafs can’t afford to keep him.
