It's funny how I'm so excited about all the solid prospects the Rangers have, and Hartford still looks this bad lol. All of our best prospects (besides Shesty) are going to be with the big club; Kakko/Hughes, Kravtsov, Chytil, Fox, Hajek, etc.

Judging these lines, the defense is young, but there's potential there. Shesty is hopefully great in net, but that forward group is brutal. Unless we trade up, we're not getting Caufield, and whoever we do draft at #20 probably doesn't start next year in the AHL. There's not 1 forward there who projects as a top 6 player in the NHL.

I was thinking that we would probably want to trade up to grab Caufield falling to somewhere in the early teens. but yea the Hartford team needs some serious help as it just looks terrible.

It’s been widely discussed what a tire fire Hartford is...good thing is some of our best prospects are still in juniors, NCAA, Europe, etc....Hopefully JD addresses the Hartford situation in hiring competent coaches, investing in that team, and implementing a playing system which is a mirror image of DQ’s system...as for the players, didn’t see Pionk listed, and let’s see what else the draft and free agency may bring...of course our best prospects are anticipated with the team- but going forward we need Hartford to be a place to launch players to the NHL, rather than go there and rot.

they fire the entire coaching staff before the hire.. probably had JD in mind to bring his own staff in
