Given that Boston has a tonne of depth on the back end, and thin out a bit on the front end, I'd disagree with this.

That's a massive assumption right there, for many reasons.

The term for one, but also the fact that marner would lose a ton of money from endorsements by doing this. Dude is sponsored by EVERYTHING, there isn't a price you could offersheet him at that would be enough to overcome that endorsement money + contract money.

Does he actually sign it though? Say he blows out his knee. What happens then? Something like 8 x $9.5 (I assume he'll make more), makes a lot more sense than 1 x $10.5
