I would do it. I don't really like it, but there's not a Johnson trade that I will because they're gonna have to pay to fix a problem that shouldn't exist.

They won't have to give up much of anything to get rid of JJ.
Just wait to the 35+ year old injury prone Detroit blue line needs bodies. You will be able to send him out easy. They won't get anything in return, but who cares. Detroit will deal with him for a year and a half, and then send him to seattle or buy him out for virtually nothing.
