Bold take, I think this team wins the Metro next year. All depends on how Hart and Provorov progress though.

Do you think Morgan Frost could make the jump before Joel Farabee? Could Nolan Patrick be better as a winger? This is what I expect for the Flyers. I agree that Farabee could make the jump too.

Van Riemdsyk Couturier Giroux
Lindblom Hayes Voracek
Konecny Frost Patrick
Raffl Laughton Reaves

Personally, I think Patrick will excel as an NHL center. Personally, I see him as a Sean Couturier type, used in a lesser role for several years and then showing the offensive prowess he had at the Junior ranks. The only difference is that I believe Patrick (potential wise) can be a point per game player in this league, and clearly his defense will not be on par with Couturier, but it will be there. So take Coots and take away some defense, add some offense, that is what I think Patrick will be. People forget, Patrick is 20 years old. Has had several illnesses and injuries since he was 17, came right from Juniors, never spent any time in the A, and has had only one full offseason in which to prepare for the rigors of the NHL season. He already has had back to back 30 point seasons, one of which he was barely healthy the entire year. Now, he gets to play in a role more suited to him on a third line, where he will have talented linemates, and have another full offseason to prepare, while still only just turning 21.

The sky is the limit for Patrick, he will have a better than Hischier for sure, take that to the bank.

I agree that Patrick is an NHL center if Frost makes the team it will be as a winger. I also don't see them breaking up Giroux-Couturier- Konecny line. Lindblom will most likely play 3RW since he played RW in Sweden and the AHL. Gives you a line to build on for the future and they seem to like having Patrick and Lindblom together.

This is a contending team for sure and i think that its up too the goalies many might forget Hart is just 20 years old. So split the games 50/50 or 60/40 in regular season between Hart and Elliot then give Hart the starting job in the playoffs. But i dont see this as a stanley cup winning team. I see this year as a prepartion year to for the young guys to get that playoff experience for next year then we can have a goalie tandem of Hart/Sandström or Hart/ustimenko depends how steps up for the phantoms this year. And thats the year to go all out for the cup.

Frost and farabee maybe both can make the roster at the start of this season.
logically their are four guys fighting for 2 spots in in the roster one on the 3rd line and one on the 4th line.(If we dont trade for reaves) and there´s Gabriel, Pitlick, Farabee and Frost fighting for those ones.

Top 6 FWD wins you games
Bottom 6 FWD wins you cups
Would have loved to seen Wayne the train with Lindblom and patrick. (maybe at the deadline)

And i think that Raffl laughton and Reaves would be a hard working, hard hiting 4th line that would work the same way that Blues 4th line with Steen, Sundqvist and Barbashev did last year.
