Description
No Trades. No Cap dumps. No LTIR. Just showing it’s possible to sign brock and goldy without going over the Cap. Imo this is worst case scenerio and it’s still more ideal to trade a contract but this is what works for now if need be

You roster might be right. But looks like with 23rd player they might be over the cap. Plus if those bonuses are met...there is a carryover till next year.
Benning and friends...pretty poor cap management for a non playoff team, who has traded away a a first rounder.

It's not necessarily what you did, though this lineup isn't really cap compliant. I'm saying the Canucks under Benning have made a mess of the cap and their player value. Out of the playoffs and right at the cap shouldn't happen. Canucks aren't alone with this problem. In an ideal world, the best teams would near the cap because they have the best players. Poorer teams should have cap space for future growth. 33,000 cap space and a twenty two man roster and win probable performance bonus carryover shouldn't be happening to a likely lottery team.

VAN has had 10 mil+ in cap space for the past 2-3 seasons. how good your team is has not bearing on how much you should spend lol. TOR is a classic example of this... can barely sign marner, maxed to the cap and still a first round knock out. though with the new D roster things may change. future growth will come from the prospects we already have, not from "buying" players with cap space, and anchor contracts will be gone by the time the young guys need new deals. that's the future growth plan
