Seems like a lot for the Oilers to give up for a one year rental, an iffy NHL centre and the Oilers still finish out of the playoffs.

Probably. I tried to start the concept high from the Oilers side to see what people might think is a good price. Vatanen would make a nice partner for Nurse imo, and Zacha, while iffy, should be a solid 3C for years if no regression happens. Perhaps Bear is kept and another pick added, idk, depends what devils fans think.

zacha is not an iffy nhl center, and I would hope nj doesn't take this

While Zacha isn't exactly an offensive juggernaut, he might be the best penalty killer in the league from a shot suppression and goals against stand point. Mind you he's only 22 he has room to grow but I would hope NJ wouldn't take this trade.
