At least the 2020 draft will have plenty of centres going in the 1st round. The Wild need about 5 centre prospects right now

Boring? No. Mediocre? Possibly. Lacking direction? Absolutely.

This team desperately needs a retool. Instead, they've locked themselves into a mediocre team capable of maybe making the playoffs but not doing anything once there with an aging core well into the next CBA...

They could have retooled this offseason, stunk this year and been back into "trying" next year and be just as good as they are now but with a much younger group. Retools done right last 1 season only and almost always make the team better in the long run.

I’d say the most boring team to watch over the last two years is the Stars. They’re a pretty good team but nothing happens in their games

The defense is above average and requires little adjustment and the same goes for the goaltending. Minnesota has the alphabet kids (Donato, Eriksson Ek, Fiala, Greenway, Hartman and Kunin -- too bad they don't have Iafallo and Jones) and with the two Z's, that makes half of an entirely acceptable forward corps. As @csick points out, this team is only replacements-for-Koivu-and-Staal away from being a solid contender in a year or two. (And don't forget Kiprisov or whatever his name is.) My recipe would be to move Heaven and Earth to get another first-round pick in this year's draft. And it wouldn't hurt to divest Rask.
