Blues aren't taking someone with term to fill Tarasenko's roster spot. They'll already be tight against the cap next year depending on what they do with Pietrangelo, Brown would make that even worse

Isles will take Kovalchuk but only if you either retain salary or take a contract back. I'm sure they'd have extreme interest in Tyler Toffoli.

Kings finally get out of cap hell.... re-enter it by signing hoffman, hall, and brodie to 7 year deals with good amount of $$.

Few teams, especially teams near the cap don't take on multi year iffy contracts. Then there is the NTCs to consider. Kings have become the new Coyotes. Players like their summer starting about April 6th.
