Description
A WSH fan proposed Juulsen, Vejdemo and a 2nd for Orlov. To me, it felt like this trade would make the Caps lines weird, and it's not like they need to change anything, so I wanted to see it from their perspective. The idea was apparently that Djoos is ready to take top-4D role. I also upped the Caps value they receive.

After looking at it, it doesn't seem like there's any point to Washington doing this trade. It's not like it improves their cup chances, and I don't see why they would want to trade for futures. Anybody agree?

Yeah no reason to move Orlov at all unless it's an out of this world trade. Dude is a beast.

MTL makes the pick a 2021 because the 2020 draft is in MTL and they have to have a first rounder for the home town draft

Siegenthaler>Fleury, but Fleury would immediately be this team's top RHD prospect, and an intriguing pickup. Lehkonen is like Panik but five years younger and not slumping.

Djoos probably isn't a gamebreaker in the NHL yet, but he had a stretch of seven points in 15 games last year. He's got 10 points in 17 games in Hershey. On a team where everyone else is clicking, his lack of defensive greatness might not be such an issue if he keeps carrying pucks and works on his stetch passes.
