Description
So, this is a list of players who are soon to be free agents, in the next year or two. I’m looking for players that are in the 28-31 range, so they’ll still get major term, and have something unsustainable about their game, or another reason to make you believe their next contract will end bad. I think Taylor Hall is the clear cut number one in this category.

Players who have signed new deals that have not yet kicked in are eligible.

32 year old center that’s about to get big money for big term? What’s not to love.

Hall’s contract is almost guaranteed to be one of the worst in the league. There’s this league wide perception that he’s a perennial MVP candidate rather than a guy who’s had one MVP caliber year in his career, and is an injury prone, sub point per game winger. He’s averaged 22 goals a year. 28 goals per 82 games. Whoever signs that contract is going to be signing their own pink slip.

Maybe Dillon, Muzzin, Tanev, Hoffman, shattenkirk, Brodie

Seems like there’s a lot of dman that could end up as bad contracts.
