I don’t think you understand how this works. You can’t give up trash and expect good players in return.

And you do realize Backes has an NTC he is not waiving in season to go to crap team. And not only does he have no trade value you’d have to pay someone to take him.

I mean c’mon. Jesus. The Leafs trade would be like if they offered B’s Holl, Lindgren, Petan for Debrusk and the Devils would be like the Canucks offering Loui Erickson with 2m retained, Baertschi, 3rd for Coyle. Easy no’s right? Horrible right? Same as your offers.

Trading with Toronto is just never going to happen. I recognize getting rid of backes would be a good thing, but trading heinen to get Simmonds would be horrible.
