I'm really big on trying to bring in Sean Walker or Matt Roy from the kings. I think that the buying price would likely be higher. Small sample size from either player would maybe keep the price down, but if I were the Kings I'd be looking for a player like Kapanen from the leafs. I don't think either is getting moved for prospects, but i think that the Leafs could maybe do it for Bracco and a second, but that's a stretch.

RE: Ritchie - Why? All he does better than Johnsson is hit. Otherwise, I think Johnsson is able to get the puck back as effectively, and actually finish. Is the idea just to give some size up front while saving 2mio in cap?

Yes, cap relief first. Also i think that there are plenty of players in TML that can score and make the play but they lack of big guys that can hit and step up for the others and Ritchie is fine at this. Also it seems like Dubas is trying to get Ontario players back home and both Ritchie and Walker are good choices. Maybe the cost would be higher who knows.

Ritchie for Johnsson for the reasons you cite isn't a bad thought, but Anaheim has Rakell, Comtois, Jones and Shore competing for the top 3 LW slots (DesLauriers has the fourth-line position locked up) and Brayden Tracey in the pipeline, plus an even greater need at RhD than Toronto, so I don't see that trade as likely. Even more unlikely is the possibility that the Kings would trade away one of the few bright spots in this dismal season, or at least trade him away for anything less than Chicago's second, which you don't own.
