I know he'd never be traded and WPG would be stupid to move a 1C on a contract like his but i'm curious as to what people think his return would be like. I definitely think its equivalent to 4+ 1sts.

Man, a 1C that has been a point per game or better the last four seasons, at $6.125M for the next 5 seasons? You'd have to get an absolute haul to make that trade. When comparing career point shares, here's the list of players he's comparable to:

Alex Barkov
Johnny Gaudreau
Sean Monahan
Nathan MacKinnon

With that in mind, I don't think there's a realistic package out there that would make the Jets even think about moving him. If he was on an expiring contract, he could probably get $10M a year.

Oh trust me I know the package would have to be stupid good to move him, and most teams probably wouldn’t make the move as it would drain the pipeline but it’s an interesting thing to think about. Any idea on what a package would have to look like? I’d assume for WPG to even consider it it would have to include a top C prospect, top 4 dman with term, a d prospect (A) and 2 1sts. No team would pay that and idk who even has that available.
