I totally see this point.. But i was seeing some Avs fans slotting Nieto as the 13th forward when guys like Calvert were healthy.

I also figured this would be better than a Price or Jarry trade, which I'm guessing the ask would start with Byram. No one is going to just hand Colorado a plus goalie, Jarry is more valuable to the Pens now than ever.

I'd rather get a guy like Desmith to help out and give up a UFA if I were Colorado.

Patrick was apparently scouting the Colorado-Tampa game last night as well.

But Avs are dealing with some injuries and Rantanen got injured vs Tampa. Avs need their rosterplayers right now

I heard Rantanen shouldn't be bad but my sources are probably not nearly as good as yours. I hope it isn't.

Calvert will be back before long. Just an idea.
