I dont see why Gourde or Palat should waive to leave Tampa.
They negotiated their NTCs for a reason.

Gourde if this deal was done proper would go home and play top minutes infront of his family .
he'd waive his NMC to be here i'm sure

Gourde contract is horrible, that is probably why Sergachev is in the trade.

My line of of thinking regarding players with NTCs on Tampa is, leave a Stanley cup contender in Tampa for non-playoff team... Yeah no.

Its not like TBL is the new CHI or LAK
If anything they're the new SJS
Always the bridesmaid , never the bride

every player wants more ice time
a chance to showcase themselves and overachieve
few are content with giving up a year off their lives for the chance at getting swept again
atleast on a new team with more minutes he could mature into a more complete player earning his cap
